Great machine
Like some of the other people here I decided to ignore the negative reviews and take a chance and order it. I never go wrong when I go with my gut instinct. This is a great piece of equipment. I ordered it on Friday it shipped on Monday I had it on Tuesday you can't ask for better than that. One of the two boxes had a fist size hole in it ( shipping damage ) but no lost nuts and bolts because they were in a sealed pastic bag in a small box. I chose this machine over a similar one being sold here on Amazon because It has bearings on the press arms instead of just a bolt through a hole. Also because it weighed more which tells me heavier gauge steel and it even cost less. Some complained about bad or no assembly directions, mine came with nine pages of directions with pictures on each page. But to tell the truth I took a quick look at them then put them aside and put it together without them. The machine came with extra nuts, bolts and washers and even snap ring pliers. It has metal Olympic weight adapters unlike the plastic ones on some machines. If I had to say anything negative about it I would say it would have been nice if they included four spring clips to keep the weight plates from rattling on the bar. But since Amazon sells a set of four of them for $8 I won't even complain about that. If you want a great shoulder workout buy this machine.

Very Nice Shoulder Press/Deltoid Machine
Lightning fast Shipping! TDS Version of the Shoulder Press Deltoid Machine is very well made. But their Instructions suck. Luckily I'm Mechanical. So it took about an hour after unpacking everything. They really need to get it together with an instruction manual, And Pack everything more Professional. The Machine works great. Does exactly what it supposed to do. I'm very happy with this new addition to my home gym. I highly recommend this machine. Get these while they're in stock. Because others like Titan Fitness you'll be waiting months for a lesser machine. And I seen this TDS Machine on other websites selling for $599.99 plus shipping. For the money I paid. I'm very happy to get this. The handles are positioned perfect. And the Cushions are super thick. Super comfortable. If I could tell TDS/New York Barbell something I regards to this machine. It will be. Make a longer Shoulder Press Arm Pin without a clanging wire. And a secondary pin holder for when you are doing Shoulder Presses.

but the machine itself is pretty good. It's sturdy and has smooth operation
Bought this machine a while back. There were a few issues with it right out of the box. First, the shipping box was about to fall apart when I received it. there is also no internal packaging so some of the pieces were scratched and scuffed from rubbing together. Then, one of the deltoid arms wasn't properly drilled so the handle wouldn't fit properly through the hole and the pads for the deltoid arms were miss drilled and wouldn't fit either. To their credit, NYB was very quick in sending me the proper replacement parts, but the deltoid arm pads still didn't fit properly. No biggie, I just drilled them and added a threaded insert and fixed it myself. The overall experience gets a three star rating, but the machine itself is pretty good. It's sturdy and has smooth operation. It's a bit tight when you use the deltoid developer (I'm 6'1") and the seat doesn't adjust far enough down. I'm going to try to redrill the lower mounting hole and move the seat assembly down a little and see if that helps. I have to lean down slightly to get my arms on the pads right and that makes for an uncomfortable lift. Overall, I would recommend this machine.

Looks great in my pandemic gym!
Ever since the gyms started closing down due to the pandemic, I've been converting my garage into a gym that gives me the same experience as the commercial gym. I feel periodic lock downs are going to be the new normal, so it's gonna be my main training space from now on. The lateral raise machine was one of my favs at the commercial gym and I thought I would have to forgo it if I was gonna be working out in my garage going forward But thanks to this baby, I don't have to! Shipping was crazy fast. Especially considering that we're still in lock down. It came in two boxes. Unfortunately, one of the boxes had a massive rip in it by the time I got it. Luckily, nothing was lost. However, it was only being shipped from New York to Maryland, so it didn't have to travel very far. If it was going, say, cross country, the story might be a little different. The packing was ok. And by that I mean, it did the job. Everything was just wrapped up in bubble wrap, but not a whole lot was secured in any way so it was just giggling around in the boxes. However, nothing was scratched up so I guess there's nothing to complain about here. Assembly was rather easy ... for me. It took me about 90 minutes to put it together, and I felt I was going slow. However, what people have been saying about the assembly instructions leaving a little something to be desired are fairly accurate. They weren't instructions, really. Just a series of photos. I guess I'm just so used to putting these things together, that it didn't give me too much trouble. But I can see how somebody less inclined might run into issues. Just take your time, and you'll be alright. One of things I was worried about was that I would be missing some nuts or bolts. My experience was quite the contrary, though. I had actually had extras left over. So that was good. The machine itself is perfect for my needs. Movement is smooth and doesn't feel cheap. It fits in well in my garage gym. The only other similar machine that I know of that's in this price range is the one from Yukon Fitness. I feel the TDS version is better for the following reasons. One, the TDS has a stability bar attached to the rear bottom of the machine. The Yukon version does not. I find that without this stability bar, the unit can wobble side to side way too much. Since both the TDS and Yukon machines look similar in footprint, I can only imagine that the Yukon version is a whole lot less stable than the TDS model. The second reason is that the lateral raise portion of the machine is adjustable on the TDS model while on the Yukon it is not. On the TDS, you can set it to fit people who have a narrower frame or for people who have a wider frame. On the Yukon, it can only be set for people who have a wider frame. Coupled with the fact that the Yukon version is almost $200 more if you factor in shipping makes the TDS model the better buy all around. I couldn't be any happier.

Exactly what I was looking for!
This TDS shoulder press machine has delivered far and beyond what I could have hoped for. Its strong and very sturdy as well as very smooth in its operation. I'm now able to do away with dumbells and barbells for shoulder work if I choose to yet still get a fantastic workout. I'm 6 feet tall and 210 pounds and I fit perfectly in the machine. The handles are pefectly placed simulating a behind the neck press as well as a military press without your head position being an issue in either case. Order came about a week earlier than expected with both boxes and contents intact. The TDS version is more than $100 less than the competition and I believe better made. I'm very happy with my purchase. The TDS shoulder machine makes a great addition to my already extensive home gym. Another happy Amazon customer!

Very cheap construction and terrible instructions.
The side-lateral-raise arms on the machine are so cheap and the design so poor that I removed them from the machine completely. I may weld certain parts together in the future in order to securely reattach them, but for now, they remain off. The assembly instructions are terrible (incredibly bad) but the machine is not that difficult to figure out how to assemble if you have the time and patience. Note: The natural arc of the shoulder press motion is unnatural and forces you to push far back behind your shoulders on full extension which can lead to possible injury. This is a $200 machine at best and even then it needs to be custom modified to work properly. There are a lot better quality products out on the market that use thicker steel and use welds instead of cheap screws on load bearing pieces. Designed in the USE (so the box claims) and poor quality control and cheap materials used in the China factory. Will never buy anything from this company or its affiliates again.

Just give em your money
For shoulders you want safety and comfort while still able to lift heavy.. buy it.. but also buy a couple collars because the plates may slide off .. I still give it a 5 stars for price. Proformance and quality.. home gyms are only as good as your equipment.. you can't go wrong with this lil add on

Awesome machine
The machine itself is awesome there’s only one problem I have with the machine and it’s the way that the shoulder press attachment gets locked in for whatever reason I can’t get the pin to go all the way through it doesn’t really lineup with the whole properly other than that all the parts seem to go together OK wasn’t a big deal putting it together and loved it has the lateral raise just have to get used to
