Used this on my my new wheelset (Bontranger Aluminum Comp) and love them. Much better than the Bontranger XR2 that came on my bike. They do well on most trail surfaces except sand. Other than sand, they do the job well and aren't too heavy either. They take a beating on the trail and I've never had any problems with thorns and such (I run tubeless). Also the rear tire had to be replaced a little over 3000 miles. Highly recommend.

These came with my giant stance 2 when I bought it. After 2 seasons they were worn out, they don’t last very long on harder terrain, but they are pretty cheap comparatively. And the traction is just awesome on pretty much any surface.

So far this is the best compromise I've found with regards to weight, speed, durability, versatility, value and handling. I'm on my second set and I've run them on a variety of surfaces and under a myriad of conditions. They set up for tubeless easily and seem to work equally well on UST or Stan's-spec rims. I'm never rolled a tire and have never experienced a side puncture in the sometimes thorny and craggy Central Texas conditions. I run them on both wheels. Like any tire they lose their grip and flex with age and have to be replaced. My first set gave me almost 4 years of wear and lasted well over a thousand miles.

I had maxxis rekon tires originally on my mtb when I first got it. Since I mainly ride my bike on asphalt and pavement. The center wore down rather quickly. I switched to a smooth tire, which was much quieter. However, felt slow due to the lower tire pressure. I bought these maxxis ardent’s and I am quite happy. They roll fast, they’re quiet on hard surfaces, and they grip well in turns and wet weather! They arrived faster than expected even though I am in Japan and they came from stateside. Packaged nicely and looked the same as advertised! Can’t go wrong with these tires if you’re shopping for new ones!

As described and on time

Wow! I wasn't expecting these tires to make such a difference, but they do! I have a Trek Fuel EX7 that came with Bontrager 2.3-inch tires. I always felt that the Bontrager tires didn't have that much grip and felt hard on rocky trails. So, I used to ride them with very low PSI (in the teens), but kept bottoming out on rocky terrain. Once I got these tires, I was able to up the PSI into the low 20s and still have a lot more bite on the trails. With these, I confidently roll over sharp jagged rocks without hesitation. I am very pleased with these tires. Despite being more aggressive, I haven't noticed increased rolling resistance.

Replaced some old weathered tyresx These have transformed the bike. Amazing grip and look great so I am delighted with the upgrade. Great that tyres of this quality still available in 26.

Ich hätte niemals gedacht, dass ein Faltm,antel so strong and strong auf einer Felge läuft....ABER bei MAXXIS kann man sich absolut sicher sein, dass es läuft. Der Mantel hat dermaßen Grip, dass hkenne ich nur von einer Konkurrenz. Also ich bleibe bei MAXXIS ab jetzt. Danke für die Super SCHNELLE Liefrung. Das hat gut gepasst. LG

Sono sorpreso favorevolmente perchè non mi aspettavo una scorrevolezza così da un 2.40 e tacchettato! E' paragonabile allo Schwalbe Hurricane da 2.25, che montavo prima, che ha un battistrada praticamente slick. Inoltre ha buon grip su smosso con sassi, erba bagnata e anche su roccia. Gonfiato a buona pressione garantisce aderenza della sola parte centrale del battistrada, con buona tenuta in curva per i tasselli laterali.. A pressione più bassa è ottimo per aumentare l'aderenza quando serve. Una scoperta! Vorrei provarlo all'anteriore (quando sostituirò il Kenda slant 6 che ho ora) e al posteriore mettere l'Ardent Race da 2.20, penso sia un ottima accoppiata. Consigliatissimo.

Lo que mas me gusta de esta cubierta es lo versátil que es .se adapta perfectamente a todo tipo de terrenos con un excelente agarre Y una rodadura muy buena y rápida Su punto débil son los terrenos de mucho barro por lo demás es una rueda muy recomendable y segura
