I found this cable to be of excellent quality and perfect for transferring between an electronic device and a computer (also an electronic device). This cable was very compatible with my devices and easy to use. It performed as described and would buy them again. Highly recommended.

I had an old Garmin Nuvi I wanted to update because occasionally I'm in the mountains without cell service and I have an old iPhone 12 with limited storage for downloading a map. I thought the cable I had for charging a universal one, was good for data connection by I could not get the computer to recognize the device which led me to my search on amazon for a cable that would not only let me charge but support data transfer. Got the cable in one day thanks to prime and as soon as I plugged it in my PC beeped recognizing the devise and Garmin Express immediately made the connection. Seems to be a quality cable and I like the 6-foot length because the maps can take an hour to update and I can just get the device out of my way.

I got this cable for loading programs onto my graphing calculator, and for that, it works great. It is able to do data transfer which many of my other mini USB cables could not. In general the cable is okay, it could be better visually, it is covered in text describing what it is, which is quite visually unpleasing and unnecessary. The cable has nice looking golden terminations, which make the cable look quite unique. The cable also has a plastic hump on the full sized USB end which has an amazon logo, which might look like it could add extra grip, but it actually does the opposite it makes it harder to plug-in and pull out as it is slippery. The cable seems to have some memory to it, as when bending it, it seems stay bent quite easily. The cable is thicker than most, and made of a hard rubber, and is also heavier than it looks. It is also quite long, I only got the longer one because it was cheaper, but if you don't need the length, the shorter version is probably better. In all, it is an okay cable, and fine for the price.

It's a fine enough Mini USB cable. The package arrived in high quality cardboard packaging, and the cord itself feels durable. The USB-A connector is tight, which grips firmly in the port, and the Mini USB connector connects with a satisfying *click*. I appreciate the little rubber embezzlement on the connectors, and I think this will last me a while. It acts as a solid PSP charger, using USB charging mode, and also a data cable.

I've brought this back in March of 2025. It has been great and for its price as well. I have an dvd reader that needed this cable and its hasn't gave me any problems.

This USB-A to mini USB cable runs at a 2.0 standard which is now behind the times but it serves me well for my application and the build quality versus pricing made it an easy decision. I have had very good luck with the Amazon Basics line across the board, including the range of cables. I am very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend this product.

Als ich mir letztes Jahr für mein Auto eine Dashcam gekauft habe, war mir leider nicht so unbedingt bewusst, wie praktisch eine bestehende Stromverbindung auch beim Parken wäre. Erst, als ich eines Tages einen fetten Kratzer vom Rücklicht bis zur A-Säule mitsamt Delle in der Tür hatte, zeigte sich mir, dass der Parkmodus, der bei Bewegung reagiert, den Verursache hätte aufnehmen können. Aber dazu muss kontinuierlich eine Stromquelle angeschlossen werden. Ein USB-Kabel musste her. Dass das aber nicht ganz so einfach ist, wie es anfangs klingt, zeigte sich erst im Verlauf der Suche. Da es je nach Parkplatz auch mal nötig ist, die Dashcam an der Heck- oder Seitenscheibe zu befestigen, ist ein längeres Kabel Pflicht – immerhin will ich die Powerbank im Handschuhfach lassen, um im Fall von Sonneneinstrahlung ein Überhitzen zu verhindern. Und da fangen die Probleme schon an. Wenn ich wirklich ohne viel Arbeit hantieren will, sollte es mindestens 2,5 m haben. So dringend der Kauf aber war, gab ich mich mit einem kürzeren Kabel zufrieden – und hoffte, die Wahl war richtig. Letztlich fiel die Wahl auf das vorliegende, 180 cm lange, USB-Kabel von AmazonBasics. Zwar hat es nicht die eigentlich benötigte Länge, mit einer Neuplatzierung der Powerbank unter den Sitz aber konnte ich das Problem vorerst umgehen. Obwohl der Preis von 6,39 € pro Kabel nicht gerade billig ist, hoffte ich auf einen lohnenswerten Kauf. Zumal das Kabel aufgrund seiner Dicke äußerst robust scheint, war mein Ersteindruck sehr positiv. Wie aber denke ich nach einigen Wochen Dauertest? ───────────────────── Zu Beginn möchte ich erst einmal ein paar Worte zur Verpackung verlieren. Gehe ich beispielsweise in den Laden und kaufe dort ein USB-Kabel, gibt es das eigentlich nur in transparenten Tütchen. Da sieht man direkt, was man bekommt. Das Kabel AmazonBasics kam aber in einer Box aus Pappe. In meinen Augen ist das eine gute Verpackung, zumal man das Kabel, wenn nicht mehr gebraucht, dort wieder verstaut werden kann. Für meine Bewertung unerheblich, aber dennoch erwähnenswert. Wichtiger ist wohl eher die Verarbeitung. Darauf war auch mein erster, genauer Blick aus. So wollte ich den ersten Blick auf die Anschlüsse richten – und die konnten überzeugen. Das Kabel selbst war weitaus dicker als erwartet, dennoch flexibel genug, um meine Bedürfnisse zu erfüllen. Somit denke ich auch auf lange Sicht, dass die Abschirmung und der Schutz im Inneren gegeben sein sollte. Eher überrascht war ich bezüglich der Länge, die ungefähr bei 183 cm lag – zwar noch nicht das, was ich ursprünglich gesucht habe, dennoch kann man nicht behaupten, man sei knausrig. Letztlich ist es aber die Praxis, mit der alles steht und fällt. Seit einigen Wochen nun wird das Kabel durchgehend genutzt – während der Fahrt lädt es die Powerbank, beim Parken versorgt es aber dann die Dashcam mit Strom. Natürlich stört mich, dass ich aufgrund des kurzen Kabels ständig auch den Platz der Powerbank justieren muss, das ist aber nicht die Schuld vom Kabel. Das Kabel selbst zeigt bisher absolut keine Probleme. Die Stromversorgung funktioniert dauerhaft, bei der Verbindung mit meinem Rechner gibt es ebenfalls keine Probleme – was will ich mehr? ───────────────────── ► Kurz und knapp lässt sich sagen, dass es von meiner Seite aus keine Beanstandung gibt. Sowohl das Material, als auch die Verarbeitung, sowie der Strom- und Datenfluss funktionieren einwandfrei. Da ist der Preis von knapp 6,40 € pro Kabel durchaus gerechtfertigt.
