Can it make regular Americano coffee?

Yes it sure can. Americano is made by doing 1 or 2 shots of espresso and then adding hot water in the amount to your liking. Simply do a single or double shot, then let clean water run from an empty portafilter to add hot water to the amount desired. This is an Americano. Does this machine have a regular plug or a nema 5-15P plug?

Hi, the Oscar uses a regular 120V outlet and only 10 amps, so its like any other kitchen appliance. This is the brand new redesigned Oscar II and we just received a new shipment from Italy this past Friday and are ready to ship! Hope to have you as a customer. Liz

Is this hard-plumbed or does it have a reservoir?

We use the reservoir with bottle water but it can be hard plumbed. Smaller is size. Fits under a cabinet. This is our first machine. Love it. Recommended by my favorite barista. A good burr grinder is a must. Enjoy.
