Makita DC18RD 18V Lithium-Ion Dual Port Rapid Optimum Charger, 2-Port

I tend to go with the namebrand, when it comes to chargers. The Makita charger is well worth the money. It’s been working for a good long time and gets daily use.

Makita products are not cheap but they are excellent quality, and do the job. This charger makes it easy to slide the battery in, charges quickly, and is solid (heavier than the other chargers). I discarded aother charer because I had to struggle to slide the battery in, then it would not hold the battery so I had to keep pushing the battery in to get it fully charged. This charger is fast and very reliable. Well worth the cost.

For the DC18RD ordered and shipped by Amazon: I got this for $88.79 + tax. The charger looks like the factory item but the top of the plastic clamshell package with all identifying info was cut off, so, something is different about it. It works fine, charging my batteries effectively and is quieter than the original charger that came with my drill. Since most other dealers want ~$200 for this, I feel fortunate to have found this deal.

We all have those moments when finally we are getting stuff done and moving and grooving, then the battery dies... You had multiple batteries to begin with yet for some reason you only had initial one charged up. sure you can get 4 unit at once but that seemed too bulky for my DIY level space, so i got this, now I can rapid charge my Makita batteries 2 at once, while single one came with some tool goes in my "to go" bag for "just in case" very nice, seems like the package that HD uses (yes one of those hard plastic heat adhered case from hell to stress you out unless you have a good knife or multitool) all were in including manual, registration paper etc. material and all are the same as the one comes with makita, and it is Rapid charge version. very nice purchase I have made.

I got the “used” one. It really wasn’t used, just sent to someone who returned it. It was in the original packaging, with the original plastic wrap and label and undistinguishable from a new product. It works great, and it is great to have 2 batteries charging with only one charger.

A ver, si hay que ponerle una pega es que el ventilador del cargador hace un poco de ruido, pero a su vez es bueno xq es un indicador para saber cuándo está totalmente cargada, también decir que cuando esta totalmente cargada deja de pasar corriente a las baterías que es un punto a favor.

Es un cargador rápido para dos baterías makita, hace lo que debe hacer, adicional tiene una salida USB para cargar algún dispositivo, por el precio (1320 pesos mexicanos, aproximadamente 65 dolares) no encontrarás una mejor opción, prácticamente cuesta lo mismo que el cargador de un puerto.
