It originally had one but works much better with 2
The media could not be loaded. I put 2 on my daughters bmw x6. It originally had one but works much better with 2. If you take the metal sleeve off the outside you will get more rpm out of it. I also used a 18.5v lipo, rewired from 18 to 10 gauge for better torque and added a 20 amp dc speed controller to control the power. If set at 100% it will do a wheele for 5 or more feet with a 35 lb kid and could climb a tree lol. Top speed is around 8mph. Motors still run cool and the gearboxes haven't stripped after a month. If you just swap the motor and use a 12v leadacid battery will be a decent improvement and not need a helmet. If adding a motor get a 550 transmission gear and need washers to shim things togeather.

My son's car is in trouble
After the car starts, the wheels will not turn, it may be the motor is broken, I may need to buy a new motor soon, this looks good.

No Metal Intermediate Gear Despite Description and Photos
I specifically purchased these motors because the description described an intermediate metal gear which normally strips out. All the gears are cheap plastic!

It didn't take long for the metal gear pins to overheat and melt the plastic receptors. I installed metal cups for the pins and re-worked the melted plastic but to no avail as, even well greased, it wasn't enough to alleviate the melting plastic problem. Both gearboxes failed within weeks after installation.

Waste of money
Burnt up in 15 minutes. Do not drive in grass, maybe would have lasted longer on hard pavement only.
