This was an excellent value for my money. The quality, fit,functionality, and capacity superseded anything I was able to find at a local store. The ease of insulation could be done by anyone. This product save me from purchasing an entirely new computer.

After looking on eBay and Amazon, this battery appeared to be the best deal. After charging and discharging the battery completely several times, the BatteryBar app reports 0.0% battery wear and a capacity of 98,620 mWh as expected. This looks to be a great choice for replacement Thinkpad batteries.

I bought this Battery for my T420 at a bit of a premium ($45) for a generic replacement. Most of yer sub $20 generic batteries are 6600mAh capacity. This one promised equivalent to an OEM spec 94Wh capacity. It's labeled as such. The casing looks exactly like an OEM with the branding and serial numbers removed. Snug fit. Good manufactring tolerances. My other generic is wiggly AF.My first order of business after receiving it in the mail is to start charging it to capacity and check the power statistics panel in Ubuntu Mate and tlp-stat for detailed battery information. Okay the manufacture date is June 2019, but the first use date is probably an autofill date since it says 2013... no big deal... SANYO cells... that's fine, showing 2 cycles, okay... Design capacity and last full charge are a match... THERE IT IS... 86.6 Wh design capacity. Still alot better than a typical >20 buck generic, but not the 94 Wh capacity on the label and in the listing.EDIT - Okay, it's only a few days later and this is wierd. I managed to full charge, deplete, and full charge it again, though I didn't do it in a single go. I got most of the way depleted ~20% first night, but I had to do something important, so I let it charge on the dock overnight and then depleted and charged it the next day. It took about 4-5 hours to deplete from full on my lappy with normal use. (T420 i7-2640M Ubu Mate 19.10 w/tlp) It charged up to full in about 3 hours. Then I ran tlp-stat -b again... This damn thing is actually showing last full charge capacity at 92.3Wh. Capacity is 106.6% of design? Is this thing cursed? The cycle counter is up to 5 cycles, and it's showing over design capacity, and pretty close to that 94Wh? What is with the chips on this thing? Is it overcharging the cells??? Are these measurements real or bunk? I don't frickin' know.We'll have to see how it holds up over time. My OEM that I bought immediately after getting the laptop lasted almost two years of full cycling 4 to 5 days a week and was still managing a little less than half capacity. Only about two hours of regular use. When my cheap generic backup battery is lasting longer than the OEM, it's time to replace. If this thing can hold up similarly, I'll have no complaints.

Just what my laptop needed

Did not work in Lenovo Thinkpad T530. "No Battery Detected".

Seems to hold a charge well and lasts many hours before needing to be recharged.

Worked perfectly till it just stopped out of the blue. My laptop shut down out of nowhere twice and now the battery won't take a charge.

Bought to replace an original T-420 battery, works great. In fact, after two full charge/discharge cycles upower is reporting 96Wh, over a designed 84Wh. Some other reviewer found something similar, so to anyone looking at these, it seems like the manufacturer did the honorable thing and rated the battery ~15% lower than its actual performance. Rare and nice to see.

Bought this heap almost 3 months ago and due to illness was only just able to fit it to my Lenovo laptop a few days ago. Followed usual procedure, letting it drain to 7% then full charge. A few minutes after reaching 100% charge it suddenly dropped to 90% and a message came up, "This battery cannot be charged." The damn thing is a dodo. Annoyed is not the word. And no way of contacting the manufacturer/distributor/seller.Well, I have to add that soon after posting the above, I received a message from the seller offering a replacement as soon as new stock became available. This I was happy to accept, and the replacement arrived in due course. As different from the initial faulty battery as chalk and cheese! The replacement battery performs very near to Lenovo's own, and at less than a third of the price of the Lenovo there is nothing to be complained about. Although the battery health dropped from 100% to 95% at the end of the second full charge cycle, I am perfectly happy to live with that and so far the battery is performing impeccably. Definitely recommended!
