Keeps me moving
My wife and I use this thing daily. I hike a lot and bike commute a lot. I am 60 years old. I get a fair amount of professional massage therapy, where they are amazed at how badly my muscles are beat up. This thing makes a huge difference in comfort and mobility between massages. Amazing how rolling the legs on all sides can help the knees. Decent density. Only occasionally do I wish it would be a bit higher density. Its a perfect density for rolling out the back. I like the 18" length. Its easier to use that length in the somewhat cramped space of the TV room, and is a great way to make productive use of your TV time. Its plenty wide.

Get ready to cry
I was introduced to this in my basic training for the Marines. It looks stupid, hell it is stupid, but it WORKS!! I do half ironman training and this is an absolute must!! every night before bed i use this like a workout. 3 sets of 10 full rubs per body part (shins, calves, etc etc, even my back!!) Don't know why I do it that way? Give this a try and you'll find out that your tear ducts just can't hold on too much longer than that haha. it's like a free deep tissue massage every day and it leaves you feeling GREAT!! Really improved my recovery time and I haven't had an injury since using it.

Firmer than before
The recent one is significantly firmer on the exterior.

Does the Job
It does what it was designed for which is to knead out muscles but actually I hate it because it hurts when I use it but that is why I purchased it. My IT band is very tight so I roll on it most every night which brings tears to my eyes. This device is solid, holds it shape, and is long enough for one appendage to be exercised at a time. Yes, I would highly recommend it but don't ever let yourself get out of shape.

Very Firm, Large Size Roller
I believe this product is intended for use as an exercise aid or for working out IT Band issues. I purchased this to use as a bolster for knee support while sleeping. I didn't want a squishy pillow-type bolster and this looked like it would do the job, which it does. It is very firm which may not make it suitable as a bolster for some people, but it works fine for me. The quality is acceptable and though it had a plasticy odor at first, it wore off quickly.

Very well made Foam Roller
This is very well made foam roller. There is about a 3/8" layer of "cushion" on the outside while the core beneath is very stiff. This combination will lead, IMHO, to a roller that lasts a long time without worry of deformation as it's used. Overall, this roller is quite stiff but that is what you need to loosen the very tight (and hard to stretch) muscles in the front and side of your thighs. I'm very pleased with this product. It does what I need to and I feel it will last a long time.

Inaccurate picture advertising
Haven't used this yet. May return it because I already have a similar sized one. I, unfortunately, went with what the picture looked like, rather than reading the fine print about the size of the roller. The picture I am sure shows the 24 or 36 inch roller, when you look at the proportions of the picture shown. I was expecting a longer skinnier roller from the picture. Poor advertising, not smart on my part not to read the small print. Read the small print. These ARE great tools, but I certainly don't need two of the same thing.

Thrifty massager
I bought this to use on my IT band and to massage my quads after my daily jog. I can't believe how well it worked. I say "worked" because after a few uses I don't even need to use it anymore. So, now I use it to massage my whole body and to stretch out my back. I bought the 18" because that is what was recommended for the IT band. Now, I wish that I had bought the 36" because that would work better for the back. This is a nice quality roller, but I find the cheaper version at my gym works just as well. I prefer a softer one for the IT band.

Demasiado suave
El producto no cumplió con mis expectativas. Es demasiado suave para usos terapéuticos, y la cubierta es muy delicada. Definitivamente no vale su precio.

A solid choice for beginners, occasional users, and for travel.
The J Fit 18-Inch roller is a solid foam roller for beginners, occasional users, and those who need a smaller foam roller for travel. For athletes and those who need to use a foam roller consistently, I'd recommend getting the longer 36-inch foam roller, possibly in a denser consistency. As someone who's battling an IT problem, I've used my share of foam rollers in the past. My first few months of using this J Fit roller was great. I'd describe it as medium in density, and I would use it to warm up before moving onto the densest roller - which to me is where the real therapy is. The only issue I'm experiencing with the J Fit is that it's not holding up its shape that well. I've been using it consistently for about four months now. And while it still delivers, over time (and my 150 lbs body) the foam seems to be clustering on the inside in some areas, making the rolling motion a little bumpy and awkward. I wouldn't call it a deal breaker, and I suppose this is to be expected from a roller that's not completely ridged. But I think I may need a replacement after a year or so. * Note that the photo used in the product description makes the roller look longer than it really is. For me, it spans the width of my shoulders. AfroDiva out.

A pretty good roller
Although I was aware of the dimensions of this item, I didn't realize it would be quite so thick. I would have preferred it to be longer rather than the diameter it is. It is definitely 'high' density. For the cost it is working just fine.

Decent starter roller
Nice little roller, decently dense, good for when you're just starting out rolling. However, at this price point there are better alternatives such as the Amazonbasics one, which is more dense and has aged better. The JFit one started becoming soft after a while.

Great product
Or use this roller every day, it's big enough to do your back, shoulder blades and your hips and thighs. And small enough and doesn't take up too much room .
