This movie is kind of hilarious. Please don't expect an actual horror or horror-comedy.
The humor in this movie is dry like a mouthful of crackers. It's dark humor, and the movie deliberately moves slowly. The ending is weird and unfulfilling. Yet I still gave it 5 stars. It's just kind of funny to watch, it's well-acted, it definitely subverts expectations, and it offers an unrelenting dry gallows humor throughout. It's a weird movie with a great cast. The zombie stuff is almost added for satire. It's a unique movie.I question if the people giving it 1 star have decent taste in movies. Legitimately. At worst this is a 3-star movie that will leave you smiling a few times.

A Movie Not Worth Being Super Negative Over
I feel like those who are overly negative with words like "this is the absolute worst thing I ever seen" probably wasn't the target audience for this flick. This movie is delightfully on the nose, has fourth wall breaks, not much of a plot, characters interact and talk in a "non realistic" way but really that's kind of the whole thing isn't it. Just painfully aware that the whole thing is kind of dumb and that is as much a reflection of our culture as anything else will. If you didn't find this funny nor entertaining then the movie doesn't work for you and not everyone is going to feel that way. I always encourage you to watch it and if it isn't in your taste then just leave it alone and go to the next thing. Just because a bunch of people screaming into the void says this is "the worst thing I ever seen ever period" doesn't mean it is. It just means they got upset at something that is painfully aware of itself. I give this five stars cause I believe it deserves it. Watch it for yourself and come to your own conclusions.

A great niche film
This was nearly everything I hoped this moive would be. Witty, deliberate, wry and well constructed. It plays on classic zombie movie themes; consumerism, environmental issues, greed and apathy. The cast is superb and plays off the jokes written about the actors with the deadpan humor you would expect. Adam Driver and Tilda Swinton give standout performances. Not everyone will like this movie, it is probably only appealing to a certain audience, but if you are like me, you will love it.

Good but not great…. Best scenes are available on Instagram…
Some good scenes but this is not Evil Dead comedy. Bill Murray had some good lines.

A Zombie Comedy That Hits All the Right Notes!
If you’re in the mood for a zombie flick with a delightful twist of comedy, The Dead Don't Die is your ticket to an entertaining and hilarious ride. Directed by Jim Jarmusch, this film is a fresh take on the genre, blending humor, wit, and just the right amount of undead chaos. From the very beginning, the film's quirky charm grabs you. With an ensemble cast featuring Bill Murray, Adam Driver, and Tilda Swinton, you know you're in for a treat. The actors deliver their lines with perfect deadpan delivery, making every scene a blend of comedy and satire. Murray and Driver's deadpan performances as two small-town cops dealing with a zombie apocalypse are particularly standout, bringing both laughs and heartfelt moments to the screen. The film’s unique take on zombie lore is both clever and refreshing. It doesn’t take itself too seriously but still manages to deliver some genuinely eerie moments. The blend of the supernatural with mundane, everyday life is where the film truly shines, offering a perfect mix of comedy and horror.Visually, The Dead Don't Die is a treat. Jarmusch’s signature style is evident in the film's aesthetic, with its cool, relaxed vibe that contrasts sharply with the chaos of a zombie outbreak. The soundtrack is also worth mentioning—it's an eclectic mix that perfectly complements the film's tone and adds an extra layer of fun.Overall, The Dead Don't Die is a delightful, offbeat comedy that stands out in the crowded field of zombie films. It’s funny, smart, and surprisingly touching in places. If you’re a fan of witty humor, clever dialogue, and a unique twist on classic horror, this film is definitely worth adding to your collection. Highly recommended for a laugh-out-loud, enjoyable movie night!

Zombieland Meets The Office - It does not work.
This was an absolute mistake. One third of this movie should have been left on the cutting room floor. The other two thirds simply don't work at all. The five star reviews are most likely from "educated art snobs" who think there is some high-level humor played off in this film. Sorry, but there isn't.This is an attempt at Zombieland meets The Office, and it's pulled off awfully. If this were an art piece in a gallery, it would be the banana on a stick that has a bunch of weird people staring at it for one hour and forty four minutes thinking that they're enriching their lives. The talent here definitely must have owed the writer a favor, because this movie is just far below their skillset and range of talents. That, or the actors were looking for a quick check they could cash after maybe 4 hours of rehearsal and one take for each scene.Spoilers: The children featured in several scenes have no purpose other than to fill-out run time the end of their story has them running across a street for no reason. Danny Glover's character and the nerdy gas station character die in a hardware store because Danny Glover forgot to lock the back door. There is no character arc for either. They exist to fill run time. The farmer dies as an off-hand jab at Trump supporters, his existence and death are purely to entertain Twitter and get free five star reviews from blue check marks. The hobo in the woods exists only as a narrator, he never interacts with another character again after the opening scene. The hipsters from Cleveland randomly die off-screen to the hotel owner. They exist purely to A. Make you think the Nerdy character may have an actual character arc, and B. to fill up run-time. The Scottish mortuary character that is a Kill-Bill rip-off does absolutely nothing to move the story in anyway, and serves only to enhance the 4th wall break between Bill Murray and Adam Driver. Bill Murray and Adam Driver are set up as "main characters" but they also serve no real narrative purpose for the duration of the story and are haphazardly killed off to end the film.If you're looking for a Shaun of the Dead style film, you won't find it here. If you're looking for a Zombieland style film, you won't find it here. If you're a big fan of The Office, you might find this mildly amusing, but you'd probably just be better off re-watching The Office as this is very poorly done. I feel like the writer may have been trying to take a stab at a Romero style comment on society, but nothing new or special was said in the process, and the only thing actually accomplished by this film was a complete was of almost two hours of my life, if you include the time spent to write this review. In short, don't rent or buy this. If it's still on Prime, save yourself some time and just skip it. It's not worth watching even if it's free. If you think staring at a banana on a stick will some how enrich your life in some meaningful or impactful way, than this may be the film for you. Probably not though.

Six Stars, Please. The Blazing Saddles of Zombie Movies
Don’t rent this film. Buy it. It’s one of those movies that can be watched over and over again. It should become a staple every Halloween and whenever the earth falls off it’s axis due to polar fracking or any other cause. This may be Jim Jarmusch’s best work. It is funny, clever, well-written and carries an arc that keeps the viewer engaged as everything goes crazy. It is to Jim Jarmusch what Blazing Saddles is to Mel Brooks - a loving tribute with a social message that doesn’t require the viewer to take it too seriously, in fact, requires laughter. The cast, living and undead, is impeccable. Danny Glover, Steve Buscemi, Selena Gomez, Caleb Landry Jones, RZA, Rosie Perez and others are terrific and scripted well. Iggy Pop, Sarah Driver, Carol Cane Sturgill Simpson and many others, even the extras, are lovable (yes, lovable), quirky, funny versions of well-worn zombie tropes. The central cast of Adam Driver, Chloe Sevigny, Tilda Swinton and his royal highness, Bill Murray, create an ensemble that should come back in other movies too. Tom Waits as narrator, conscience and, well, Tom Waits, is a stroke of brilliance. The film breaks both the fourth and fifth walls. The character portrayed by Adam Driver seemingly talks to the audience at various times, while we are treated what is a private conversation between actors Murray and A. Driver that also brings it all together. Mel Brooks took it a couple of steps further, but this behind the scenes is another trait in common with that masterpiece. The filming and location evoke a sweet genuineness that so many films have trouble marrying together. It feels like a small town in the mountains because it is.If there is disappointment, it is that though credited, Daniel Craig did not make it on screen and that Harvey Keitel isn’t part of the cast either. Oh well. While it sometimes feels like Jim Jarmusch films are too cool for school, The Dead Don’t Die is entirely accessible. Buy it. Watch it. Tell your friends. Have a DDD party. It’s guaranteed to end well.

Fun comedic zombie movie featuring some of your fav actors and actresses.
I know that this movie has gotten mixed reviews but I'd like to add my 2 cents worth and give it a thumbs up. For the zombie movie nit pickers who may have not found the story to be on par with the next Star Wars blockbuster I might ask, what were you expecting? I mean its not like you've seen a truly original zombie movie in forrrrever. If you were excited to see this movie it was probably because it included some of your favorite actors or actresses in comedic roles experiencing a small town zombie outbreak. While the movie's often subtle humor is served out in measured spoonfuls some viewers may have been disappointed NOT to be splashed with buckets of blood on the way to a speedy heart pounding ending. It's not that kind of zombie movie. Also, its not Zombieland. But to avoid adding too much weight to this review, I'll just say I very much enjoyed exploring a zombie outbreak with Bill Murry and the rest of the crew. SPOILER ALERT: My only quibble with the movie is near the end where the characters stepped out of character. It was a comedic tool that In my opinion was unnecessary and didn't add anything to the movie's ending. I think a more perfect ending to the movie might have been Bill Murray's character waking up with a start in the cell in the police station where he was sleeping and shouting to his fellow officers, "I just had the weirdest dream." Then in the background the police radio crackles to life with a report of a double murder at the local roadside restaurant. Roll credits!

Entretenida
El dvd cuenta con doblaje y subtítulos en español. Edición sencilla; aunque no es lo mejor del director, es una propuesta interesante.
