Useful
Useful to take the slack up on things like the washing line which to slacken over time and the wires along my fence panel to tie back various plants. The ones I purchased had the closed eyelets each end, which work fine but on occasion perhaps the type with open ends (hooks) would've been more practical, even quicker to use. Then again might tend to slip off. Probably will buy some of those type to keep my options open.

I purchased these to erect a sun shade sale, I preferred rings not hooks in case wind loosened the tension on the sale, they are perfect for the job

Good for garden wire
I got these for tensioning some stretches of fence wire. They’re well made but are a little lightweight for this purpose. However they’d be good for garden wire / plant supports. The threads run smoothly.
