NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Micro Brow Pencil, Precise Eyebrow Pencil - Black

At one time in my life, shopping for makeup meant sitting on a stool at a department store cosmetic counter while a white-smocked saleswoman applied samples to my face so we could choose the perfect colors and formulas for my skin. Today, I scroll through product photos and read reviews before selecting a product, then spend a few days with crossed fingers hoping I’ll like it when it finally arrives. Such was the case with this brow pencil. My first impression wasn’t entirely positive. It goes on very lightly at first, requiring several strokes before I could really see it. After using it a bit longer, though, I realized that was actually one of its strengths. The color builds gradually, making it much less likely that you’ll over-apply with a stroke or two. It’s far easier to add more than to remove excess. I ordered the Taupe, and it’s the perfect shade for me. My brows are very sparse, so I wanted a color that blended naturally with the hairs I do have. I think the finished look is soft and natural, which is exactly what I was hoping for. There are many brow pencils selling for significantly more than this one, but I have a hard time imagining they’d provide benefits worth paying twice the price. The quality and value of this NYX pencil are just right. An easy five stars.

I have been using the NYX Professional Makeup Micro Eyebrow Pencil for well over 10 years, and after trying countless brow products from both drugstore and high end brands, this is still the one I keep coming back to. Nothing else gives me the same combination of precision, natural results, staying power, and affordability. The ultra fine tip is honestly what makes this pencil stand out from the rest. It creates tiny hair like strokes so easily, which makes filling sparse areas look natural instead of harsh or blocky. I can shape, define, and fill in my brows without them looking overdone. Whether I want a soft everyday brow or a more sculpted look, this pencil gives me complete control. The formula itself is excellent. It glides on smoothly without being too creamy or too waxy, and it blends beautifully. Some brow pencils either drag on the skin or deposit way too much color at once, but this one builds gradually and evenly. It is very beginner friendly while still being good enough for someone who is particular about their brows. One of the biggest reasons I stay loyal to this pencil is the longevity. Once applied, it truly lasts all day. I have worn it through long workdays, heat, humidity, and busy days running around, and my brows still look intact by the end of the day. It does not smear, fade unevenly, or disappear halfway through the day like many others I have tried. I also appreciate the shade range because it is much easier to find a natural match. The colors look realistic and not overly warm or fake looking. Plus, the retractable design is convenient and easy to use without constantly sharpening a pencil. For the price, this product performs better than many expensive brow pencils I have purchased over the years. After a decade of use, it has earned permanent status in my makeup bag. Reliable, natural looking, long lasting, and easy to work with, this is hands down one of the best brow pencils out there.

Great if shade 7 feels too dark I’ve used shade 7 before, but I prefer shade 6. It gives me a noticeably softer, more natural-looking brow and doesn’t look as harsh against my coloring. The pencil is very fine, so it’s easy to make small, hair-like strokes and build the color where I need it. I also like having the spoolie on the other end to soften everything after applying. If you’re deciding between shades 6 and 7 and want the more subtle option, I’d recommend trying 6.

Can't really speak to how well it wears throughout the day, but it applied well. Unfortunately, the color Blonde looked more red or auburn when I tried it. I kept it but won't use it. If I order again, I will go for a darker color, even though I am blonde

I've ordered this many, many times. It is natural looking because it has a fine point, a handy brush at the end opposite the pencil and comes in a wide variety of colors. It doesn't require sharpening, which makes it much easier to use, and is less waseful.

Disappointed in this NYX. Had NYX brow pencil some time ago, and really liked it, especially for its long-lasting ability. I even recommended it to several friends. I like this color (taupe), but it doesn't seem to last like it used to. So, I'll use what I have, but keep looking for a longer lasting brow filler. It's okay if you never touch your brows or never sweat; then, it will last a whole day+.

I love this brow pencil! It applies smoothly, is easy to control, and makes it simple to create natural-looking brows. I’ve tried more expensive high-end brow pencils, and this one works even better for me. Great quality for the price and definitely worth buying.

Wonderful product for those with dark hair and dark eyebrows. It doesn't overpower the brows or make it look drawn on. Use a light hand with feathered strokes to create the brows you want to achieve.

Bon facile à travailler

This eyebrow pencil is great and definitely worth trying! I like how precise I can get the hair strokes (see picture attached for size of pencil). It lasts all day, but I do pair it with a brow gel. It also blends out well if you prefer a more full coverage, as opposed to small hair strokes. This stacks up against the high end versions. This is my second purchase and I will be repurchasing once I’ve finished this pencil!
