A forever flashlight
Small but extremely bright, it is great for looking at items at a distance and to bright for up close. I have four of the old style Maglite flashlights in this size and they have lasted me for decades and still work perfectly. I have purchased other LED flashlights and every one of them no matter how good the reviews has been a big disappointment. So because of my previous experience with Maglite I purchased this and I am very satisfied and expect it to last a long time just has my other Maglites have. If you buy a less expensive flashlight you will end up paying many times more in the end because you're always replacing them. Maglite last and last.

Built Like a Tank — A True MagLite Classic That Outshines Flashlights Twice the Price
The MagLite Mini LED Pro Flashlight (332 Lumens) is everything I hoped for in a compact, professional-grade flashlight. After years of trying cheaper lights that promise a lot and deliver little, this one reminds me why MagLite remains the benchmark. It’s powerful, rugged, and dependable — a perfect balance of old-school craftsmanship and modern LED performance. Build Quality: The first thing you notice is the construction. Machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, the Mini Pro feels solid, balanced, and premium in hand. The knurled grip ensures it won’t slip, even when wet or gloved. It’s water-resistant, scratch-resistant, and tough enough to survive drops that would destroy lesser lights. This is clearly built to last for years, not months. Brightness & Beam: At 332 lumens, the beam is impressively bright for a light this size. The adjustable focus is classic MagLite — twist the head to go from a tight, long-throw spotlight to a wide flood for close-up work. The beam quality is clean and even, without the odd shadows or color shifts you often see in budget LED models. It easily outperforms other flashlights I own that cost twice as much. Packaging & Holster: It arrives neatly boxed with batteries and a durable nylon holster that fits snugly on a belt or gear bag. The holster is well-made and practical — not a cheap afterthought. Use Cases: This flashlight is ideal for technicians, hikers, first responders, and anyone who wants a reliable, no-nonsense tool. It’s equally at home in a glove box, emergency kit, or workbench drawer. Pros: Outstanding build quality and durability Bright, focused 332-lumen output Smooth adjustable beam Includes well-fitting holster and batteries Excellent value versus higher-priced competitors Cons: Uses standard batteries rather than rechargeable ones Final Thoughts: The MagLite Mini LED Pro is a reminder that quality never goes out of style. It’s bright, rugged, and reliable — the kind of tool you’ll reach for over and over again. If you want a flashlight that feels professional, works flawlessly, and won’t let you down, this is it. Five stars without hesitation.

Best ever
I have purchased several inexpensive brand flashlights in the last 4 years only to have them fail within 6 months to 18 months. Having had previous experience with Maglite I decided to pay the price and get my monies worth. The light is nice and bright and dependable. The metal case is sturdy. Best ever, highly recommended.

I can't wait to use it again. A light so useful, you might look for reasons to use it.
Strong and powerful lighting. I was able to see everything I needed to pick up from the floor next to my recliner using my grabber tool. As I am not able to bend down with the floor with my back brace on. Also you need a strong , durable grabber tool. With this light kids can't.say I don't see it.

sweet...
So far just love it!!! Kinda wish they used the new push button on their Ultrabright led instead of the old twist on/off. Even right out of the package, for some reason, the light wouldn't light??? Kinda had to twist, twist and twist and then finally. Even now about two, three weeks in, it still doesn't light once in a while and I have to fiddle and twist and then it lights. I've always seen this with the twist style on/off they use on all of their lights...I've got a lot;) It's a connection problem, contact problem, not sure if it's paint on the threads or what, oil even maybe...they need to get rid of this type of on/off finally on all their products...the push buttons on their larger lights is so nice, come on guys. Ok the light...a buddy of mine had just gotten their regular AA LED version and I new I had to make the jump. Well after searching I found out that they have this "Ultrabright" LED version that puts out 226 Lumens compared to 69 Lumens of their "standard" AA LED light and for what, 2 bucks more!! Now I see while trying to get my facts right for this review that they have a 245 Lumen AA led version available....but for almost $7.00 more! I can't see that being worth it for me. Actually, I've almost found this light to...almost be a bit "to" bright! When holding it as a co-worker turns a bolt, pipe ect or what ever it really "shines" almost to bright especially if there is a wall right behind where we're working;) No ones ever complained, I actually point it a little off target to keep from blinding them;) I can hardly imagine that that could be possible but it's true...but I love it;) "Focus", this thing really "doesn't" seem to focus! It's just bright, while trying to use the normal twist to focus, it is only slight and almost imperceptibly changes but certainly not a deal breaker. By no means is the beam "broad and wide but it doesn't get the "tight" pattern that their non led AA mini does ...it would be sweet if they could get the focus working. Except for the twist on/off not always lighting the first time, this is an awesome mini flashlight. It was a little embarrassing when I tried to show it off to my buddy against his new regular led light when I couldn't get mine to light, well, eventually;) Just a note, This light is just a bit "longer" then the regular version, actually about 3/4+ of an inch longer/taller and I have noticed it a few times on my belt against my hip...probably have had the same experience with the regular standard ones but this one a few more times. I've worn the regular version for years now at work every day. p.s, get this thing, I might buy one of those push button kits, lol;) maybe not;) Ok, now after owning the light for several months and now that our company actually purchased them for the guys, a safety thing really. I heard the guys right of the get go complaining about the light, not lighting!! ;) I tried to explain to them that I had the same issue initially and actually still do. A great "bright" light and of course not having to basically ever replace the "bulb", I give it a 95 our of 100 but that not lighting is a darn shame, have to twist the bottom, ect. Not sure if it gets "opened" while in the pouch or what but it sure happens "all" the time ;( Darn Maglight, you guys can do better then this. Again, a sweet light but so darn aggravating ;) Still recommending it for sure but taking a star away, sorry guys, you still have a little work to do on this baby.

Should’ve bought more than one
So far this flashlight has performed. Very powerful for only being AA powered. Flashlight came with batteries.

No-nonsense flashlight, best in its price range
Last week, I decided that I had enough of the cheap Chinese tactical flashlights and decided to get a high quality light without breaking the bank. The Mini Maglite LED Pro is a superb flashlight and has become my EDC flashlight of choice. This flashlight has one mode, full brightness at 226 lumens. This is more than enough to dazzle someone or throw a beam up to 500 feet. However, it will destroy your night vision due to its high brightness if used to read a map or search a room. If having a low brightness mode in a tactical flashlight is important to you, buy a good-quality flashlight with a low mode of 5 or 10 lumens. (Most cheap flashlights have a low mode of 50-100 lumens, which is no better for night vision.) Otherwise, I would recommend purchasing a AAA keychain flashlight like the Fenix E01 for low brightness uses. For a cheat low mode, turn on the flashlight and continue turning until it comes unfocused and begins dimming. Do not unscrew it so far, however, that the head falls off. A rough estimate of this low mode to be around 40 lumens, with the other 180 lumens being simply wasted. To turn off the flashlight, partially unscrew the tailcap. The flashlight is sturdily constructed, with the LED providing added resilience to the already sturdy Maglite Mini as there is no bulb to burn out. I have seen a Maglite Mini incan thrown out of a moving car at high speed continue working, even though it looked completely trashed. I trust this flashlight not to start flickering or otherwise malfunctioning after an accidental drop. It is fall rated at one meter, but it can handle more. Rubber seals make operation of the flashlight smooth, as well as providing a water seal. Add petroleum jelly to keep them lubricated. The holster is very sturdy and simply designed, and the Maglite is both easily accessible and does not fall out or get in the way. For someone used to reverse clicky-style lights, turning the head requires getting used to, but soon it will become second nature. The barrel is easily gripped, and the tailcap can be used as a kubotan-style weapon of last resort. If you like Maglite and clicky flashlights, look into the Mag-tac or XL line of lights. Despite the warnings on the package, I use 1.2V NiMH batteries and it works fine, although with some loss of brightness (160 lumens). Current draw was somewhere around 2.5 amps last time I checked. The deciding factor was that this flashlight was made in the USA. This, as well as its surprisingly low price when compared to other brand name flashlights, made it a must-buy. Edit: I performed a runtime test with this light today. It is rated at 2 1/2 hours with alkaline batteries. With mostly charged NiMH batteries, this flashlight has been running for 4 hours, and it is still putting out about 40 lumens. One gets less brightness with NiMH but greatly increased runtime... and it just blinked out at 4 hours. If you still need light, wait a little and turn it back on; it may give you more light. Battery voltage is 0.98 V. One word of warning: be sure to use good batteries in this flashlight. Leaking batteries will corrode the aluminium, causing stuck batteries and a potentially ruined flashlight. Duracell or a similar brand that gives you a refund for a damaged product is the best.

You can’t go wrong with this light!
I’ve been using Maglite products for 35+ years both in professional and personal applications. Anyone who’s used them knows they are solid, rugged and reliable. From my first 4 D cell in the early 90’s up to this purchase they have always performed well when I needed them. This Mini pro was purchased as a replacement and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s bright and can be dimmed down when needed. It’s light but yet solidly built to hold up to just about anything you can throw at it. Side note: make sure you keep an eye on the battery compartment. If the batteries are kept in too long they will leak and seal the compartment shut rendering the light unusable. Not a design flaw just user error and lesson learned. This is a great affordable light for everything from law enforcement use to checking the barn for predators at night. I highly recommend this light and all Maglite products.

Ottima torcia

Fantastic upgrade
I purchased this along with the incandescent 2AA version from Amazon. The latter I returned straight away. The LED version is SO MUCH BETTER. It is a perfect torch for many situations. It does not have any modes but I was happy to have something simple with just a quick twist for on and off. It is seriously bright!!
