Black Model Color Paint, 17ml

Vallejo black has been my go to black paint for over a year now.. it is a great black color which is on the real dark side. This makes sense if you have plenty of different black paints like I do. It’s nice and thick w out being too thick and can be thinned out w great ease. The application is easy and creamy smooth. The opacity is wonderful but you can also thin it go a nice glaze. Vallejo has great paints. I would say the price point is a little high with Prime free shipping BUT if you buy it cheaper elsewhere you will generally pay the same w their shipping rate. Might as well keep using Amazon due to the fast shipping. Don’t hesitate and enjoy this great black color.

I paint little flexi toys for the grandkids and have been disappointed with the more common acrylic paint sets that cover poorly on plastic (I am mostly using PLA for the flexis). This covers incredibly well (both white and black). One coat over a contrasting base. I will be buying more. One coat is important for older painters as it gets harder to maintain the sharp edge placement on multiple coats.

Was having a ton of dry tip issues with Testor's Aqua Color acrylic satin black. No amount of thinner to the right consistency could solve the issue so I ordered the Vallejo retarder and after mixing the Testor's with the necessary amount of thinner, a few drops of flow improver, and about 7% Vallejo Retarder. Keeping in mind, I'm used to only being able to get about 20-30 seconds of spray time before the tip would clog, I wasn't expecting more than a couple minutes of extended spray time. To my surprise, I got as much time as I needed, including with breaks between parts and getting a snack or the restroom. I was able to spray about 15 parts over an hour long session with minimal tip wiping. I know there are many retarder manufacturers and plenty of rebranded stuff but I'm a primarily Vallejo user and trust the brand so that was my primary reason for purchasing this particular product. In that same vein of thought, even though the paint was Testor's, I had enough faith in Vallejo to do the job and it did beautifully well! Highly recommended for acrylic retarder.

Von all den wunderschönen Farbtönen im Sortiment von Vallejo ist Königsblau einer der Schönsten! Ich kann gar nicht genug Gelegenheiten finden, ihn auf meinen Miniaturen zum Einsatz zu bringen. Auch die Konsistenz ist, so wie bei Vallejo üblich, konzentriert und ein wenig auf der dicken Seite. Stört mich persönlich überhaupt nicht, da ich Farben ohnehin verdünne und man so mehr aus den 17ml machen kann. Absolut top, so wie man es von Vallejo gewöhnt ist!
