I bought various teethers all at once when I noticed my baby had begun to teeth early (just gone 3 months). Having worked with children for multiple years, the matchstick teether comes across as a clear favourite. So now I have my own little one, I knew I’d be buying this as one of her first teethers. She too loves it, and chews on it daily. I have it attached to a dummy chain for her, so she can keep it close by and safe from dropping on the floor. I think she particularly enjoys it also because it’s one of the tethers she can hold with ease. This is especially helpful with younger babies, who are just beginning to learn how to hold and grasp objects. The monkey arms/handles and small and perfect size for her little grip. She has no problem with guiding the tiny head towards her mouth also. Sometimes she likes to use it the other way round and chew on his feet for the back of her gums. I will occasionally massage her gums using this teether and she lovesss this. Very soothing it seems. Even more of a bonus when using it to apply teething gel. Gives a lovely soothing massage to sore itchy gums 👍🏽❤️

I’m very happy with this purchase. My daughter started using it at around 4 months and immediately took to it, she keeps playing with it and chewing every part of it, although she definitely prefers the back of the monkey’s head. Because it’s small and very light, she often throws it off, so I attach it to a pacifier chain to keep it within her reach. The loop arms make it extremely easy for her to grip, and the silicone is flexible, soft, and feels good quality. The small size surprised me at first given the price, but it’s actually perfect for tiny hands. I also like that you can put it in the fridge for soothing gum relief , it really helps during teething discomfort. It’s easy to clean and doesn’t discolour after sterilising or washing. I’ve discussed this teether with other mums, and they all find it useful and recommend it as an essential purchase for babies who are starting to teethe. I also love the colour , it’s easy to spot. Overall, it’s a bit pricey, but worth buying, especially if your baby is beginning to teethe. My daughter really enjoys it, and it has become one of her favourite teething toys.

Great teething toy. My baby was premature and low birth weight (born 4 weeks early weighing 4lb 7oz) and other teething toys I'd tried with him were too big to fit comfortably in his mouth for him to chew. He's now 4 months old and the matchstick monkey is the perfect size for him. The monkey's arm parts make it easy for him to hold himself - other toys were too big and chunky and he would keep dropping them. My baby seems to really like his matchstick monkey. It's a bonus that it's also a cute toy, and a nice bright colour (although as you can see in the photos I've added, it's not the bright shade of green pictured in the listing, but the shade of green shown in the image in the item description further down the page). The material is also ideal - firm enough to provide relief to sore gums, but soft enough to be comfortable. It's convenient that it's dishwasher safe as it's easy to clean. I've had this in my basket on Amazon for a while but hadn't gone ahead with the purchase because close to £10 seemed very expensive for a teething toy, but I'm glad that I bought it in the end. It would be useful if it came with some kind of pouch or case to keep it clean between uses rather than just throwing it into the changing bag. I take Tommee Tippee teat and soother wipes in the changing bag so that I can give it a quick clean. UPDATE: my baby will be 8 months old next week and his Matchstick Monkey is still one of his favourite things - he uses it daily and we take it everywhere we go. Great purchase.

I bought this teether as a friend used on for their baby and recommended it and i can see why. The soft, textured bumps on the back of the head act as a gel applicator so you can just dab teething gel or granules onto the bumps and let baby guide it straight to their sore gums. The flexible arms and slim head allow baby to safely reach all the way back to their molars, where standard round teether rings can’t reach. The monkey arm handles make it super easy for young babies to grasp and hold onto by themselves and also helps build their motor skills. Made from soft, flexible food-grade silicone. It's dishwasher safe, steam-steriliser friendly, and you can even pop it in the fridge for cool relief. The vibrant colour selections look fantastic, they dont fade after washing, and they are easy to spot when dropped! It doubles as a pre-training toothbrush and provides relief for sore gums. This would also make a lovely little gift. I would definitely recommend.

Simply the best teether around, easy for my little one to use alone! Design makes it really easy for little one to hold onto without keep dropping it. High quality soft rubbery material used so it’s soft on sore gums. Highly recommended!

Baby loves it and it’s a great size for him too. He doesn’t like the big teethers and was preferring to use my finger so this is perfect.

Great for teething! Not only is there a toothbrush head for them to use against their gums when irritated but you can also apply the teething gel on there for them too and with the ridges it’s disrepute’s evenly. The entire thing is chewable, the colours are nice and bright. I pop mine in the freezer over night so that when needed it’s also cold.
