WOW! BEST EVER SCRATCH PAD
I opened the bag on the kitchen counter, with Missy, my petite kitty watching. Once out of the bag, she was on it, scratching(I had just cut her nails) rolling, now sleeping on it. I have two kitties, one 25 lbs. The pad I got was the small one, which for his size, will be too small, and I think even for this one there will be a battle for possession! I have two WELL used card board scratchers, that make such a mess, that I will get rid of. I intend to get another pad, but the larger size, even maybe 2. You will NOT go wrong buying these if your cat likes sisal rope. This is excellently made, and should last quite awhile. Treat your kitties to something wonderful, if my Missy is any judge.

Cat LOVES this mat!
One of my cats LOVES sisal mats and this sisal mat was perfect. I change my cat’s sisal mats every 1 to 2 years depending on how scratched up the mats get so this mat was a great value for the money. This mat is just the right size for my cat to stand with all four paws on the mat and do a big stretch forward with his front paws. He’s definitely way more interested in scratching this sisal mat than he is scratching my couch or rug. I’ve had this sisal mat for a few weeks now and it seems to be holding up well, I think I can expect 1 year to 1.5 years of use out of it before it’s time to replace.

My Cat Loves This!
This little scratch pad is great! My cat loves to scratch on the carpet, so he uses this instead, and the color blends so nicely with the carpet that it doesn't even stand out. The mat feels sturdy and nice quality. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it's a bit too light. It's fine for my cat, but he's only ten pounds. I think a bigger cat might flop it around while scratching since it just doesn't have a lot of weight to it. Still, it's not flimsy! It has a nice thickness, just lacks weight. I love this and my cat uses it every day!

Great fun and relaxation for felines, but just way too tiny
This mat is well built and holds up well to my babies' vigorous scratching, but it's so small they can't stand on it and scratch it at the same time. The description said it would adhere to carpet, but it pulls right up when they get their claws in and they can't get a good, satisfying scratch in. They end up giving up and lying on it to take a nap; and it's not even nearly as big as they are, so they're mostly lying off of it. Two things that helped were putting cat nip on it and applying velcro squares around the edges, sticking it to the carpet. However, the only thing that really worked was buying a similar mat in a much, much bigger size. I had to use velcro on that one too and they still like it better when I put cat nip on it, but they can both get satisfying scratching in and keep their claws maintained, as well as sleeping on the whole thing, without spilling over the edges onto the carpet. Definitely buy this kind of scratcher, as opposed to cardboard ones, which last about 3 days and end up leaving cardboard bits everywhere, but buy one as big as you can and remember the velcro trick.

Wonderful find
I use these to replace the cheap sisal rope on cat climbing toys or trees. These can be cut to size and easily attached to most surfaces round or flat. 04/05/2021 Almost a year later I am still replacing or covering the cheap sisal rope and faux fir on her climbing toys. I have not had any of this to even show any wear where the faux fir falls apart within weeks when she inevitably changes her route. She loves this stuff because it is actually capable of standing up to her hardest scratching. Laying these on the floor without some type of anchor is foolish as it slips around or slaps her in the face.

Tough. Fyre (our beloved stray-brought-indoors) loves it.
So the spouse coaxed a stray cat in a few years ago and, being the kitten of a stray, it likes to claw things. We've installed the clear plastic stuff around the end of the couch and that caused him to look elsewhere for his clawing fix. So we ordered this and (this is gonna sound a bit red-neckish but) we attached it to the end of the coffee table in a vertical position with double-sided tape and a small screw in each corner. It really doesn't look bad and Fyre really likes it. It has given him a place to do his clawing/stretching thing and has held up well to the punishment that our couch just wasn't up to. If he does manage to tear it up, we will buy another just like it.

AMAZING product for feline friends who scratch on the carpet
My 11 year old tuxedo cat has taken to scratching a patch of carpet in my doorway. Naturally, I can’t just put a scratching post/board in the middle of a doorway so I searched far and wide for a solution. After some research, I stumbled across this mat and figured I’d give it a shot. It was large enough to cover the space she was using, a reasonable price point and flat— which allowed me to put it in the doorway without fear of someone getting hurt/tripping over it. Teresa took to this immediately and hasn’t scratched any other area since!

Total success!
My 9 year old (estimated age) cat, Ted, was formerly a stray/feral little guy, who had no concept of living indoors when he came to me 3 years ago. Unfortunately, he is a big clawer of the furniture, despite buying him a large cat tree and small scratching post (both entirely ignored) he elected to sharpen his talons on the edges and drawers of my bed. The bed was brand new and it upset me terribly to see it's destruction. I just couldn't get the message across at all, he would look at me, baffled, hind legs anchored on the rug, forelegs ferociously tearing at the fabric, when I'd say "No, no!" and wag a finger, entirely inefectualy; all I did was alarm him, which was not at all my intention or objective. He does love his small cat tree in the kitchen, but the bed was his main focus and he would have a fine old scratch each morning before I could even walk around the bed to stop him. Consequently, he has destroyed the fabric entirely on one corner, exposing the wooden frame and was on his way to doing the same on the opposite side, (deeming the exposed wood less satisfying, presumably). So I had nothing to loose by trying this sisal mat out. I cut away the destroyed fabric and affixed the mat to the frame using small carpet tacks, with ease. For the first evening, he just rubbed his face on it, which I took to be a promising sign and by the second evening, he is loving it, really getting his claws stuck in. He is 5.5kg and a big lad, but it has stayed in place so far. It also looks quite smart, is of really good quality sisal with a flexible backing that has tiny suction dots to prevent its moving on a floor but actually helps anchor it in place in the way I have used it. It also has no strong odour which is good for us both. And obviously, the added bonus is it hides his handiwork nicely. I am just about to order a second for the other side and hope he ignores the drawers in favour of them. I so wish I had thought if this solution 3 years ago and bought two the moment he began to scratch. If you have any similar scratching issues, I highly recommend you give one a shot in your home.
