Natural Comfrey Balm – Nourishing Herbal Ointment with Beeswax & Botanical Oils – 60ml – Handmade in the UK

First of all it was much appreciated as to how quickly the product arrived, so could start to use promptly. I had been impressed with the actual family company that creates it which is main reason I made the choice to buy it. Even though it feels a little greasy when first taking from tub once massaged into the skin it is very well absorbed and does not leave a greasy area which is a plus in terms of keeping clothes from grease marks. That is my experience at any rate. It is slightly early days to say about its effectiveness. And I do not have broken bones or issues with joints, but issues with my spine and cartilage or lack of it, so pain can be pretty bad and effects mobility. I have found the ointment soothing yet, I have also started to wear a lumbar brace and use memory foam cushions and back support so all of this combined is making a difference. And I have bought a tub of the ointment for a family member that does have fractures and so very much hoping it is going to be healing those since after much research I see that comfrey is THE go-to herb for healing of bones.

This is a great product however because o the pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PA)s it is only suitable for 10 days of use back to back applying it 3 times a day, 4-6 week break then start again. These things get through the skin and cause liver toxicity. Do not use on broken skin. This is lacking on the information online. It's a great product but it's the dose not the poison which is important

Had a knee strain which I was struggling to ease off until I applied Herbals Comfrey Ointment. I prefer natural health remedies and this meets my needs. It was recommended by a friend and I’m pleased it’s worked and my knee strain has completely eased off. I’m back to normal. There is greasiness so be careful not to use it when wearing trousers. It’s only a small 60ml pot but you only need a small quantity, so it lasts quite a while and is inexpensive.

This cream is easy to apply but the instructions say massage 4 times a day and I’ve never managed this so can’t comment on how effective the treatment is.

I bought this in desperation for a broken toe that was slow to heal. It was undeniably effective. It had already been 8 weeks and was still swollen and very red. However with twice daily applications for 2 weeks (and noticeably different after the first three days) my toe fully healed (albeit never to its original shape). It’s a lovely slippy balm will leave an oily texture like butter, which may not suit everyone, but coats the skin and is highly moisturising. I was so impressed and started using it on aching older injuries every night that had resisted Arnica and the like and after many years of painful joints, I’ve not had a murmur……. it’s would be easy to dismiss it and think it’s just better….. but I strongly attribute the relief to this balm. I’ve also started using it on as a night cream on my face and it’s better than many which are made for that purpose, especially organic (They are good also, however can at times cause breakouts or sensitivity due to the essential oils). Be patient however, don’t expect instant results✌️😌 I’ve ordered it several times now and keep it as a ‘cure all’ first-aid for the children and myself.

Comfrey balm is sold for its natural p[ain killing qualities, as well as its scent. My wife ruibs it on her skin, which is fairly sore after a bad fracture last yuear, She tells me that it helps to ease the aches that she often gets from that area. So, seems to do what it says on the lid. My only slight moan is that the substance feels quite greasy, but maybe that is the medium that the manufactureres can find to hold comfery successfully.
