Elenco Circuit Maker 40 Basic Electronics.Got this as a gift for my grandson, I thought he was too young for it, but my daughter said he had a real intreset in Circuits, and urns out he plays with it a lot. Anything that gts them off video games and TV is a very good thing,

Another item for the 8yr old grandson. He's done most of the projects and loves it. Again, He's asked for more of the next level of these kits.

This was great for my scientifically-minded 8-year-old. It's simple and sturdy and comes with a nice booklet of projects. My only complaint is that the booklet only gives directions, and doesn't do anything to explain how the circuits are working or why things behave the way they do (why certain connections make the light flash, for instance). Great kit for the price.

So great for my 10 year old. Helped him with a "last minute" science project. In about 15 minutes, he built a circuit with a fan, a siren, a light, a switch and then used the 2 electrodes and a glass of water to turn it on and off. Couldn't have been happier. Thanks!

There is nothing wrong with this set. The problem is that there are other sets that appear to use exactly the same pieces, only many more of them, for a lower price. So, if this set cost about half as much as the Snap Circuits Jr. SC-100 Electronics Discovery Kit , then it would be a five-star product. But as I write this review, it costs more. This is not a criticism of the manufacturer or seller either, if I wanted to sell mine I'd hope to sell it for as much as possible (now that I think about it, I might...). This is just here because I looked into it before purchase, and what I read made me think this one was nicer, and I don't want that to happen to you. We compared the pieces and I can't tell any difference. I suspect they're exactly the same, made on the same machine, and only the packaging is different. As to the function, it's excellent. I've been looking for something like this for my kids for a long time, and apparently didn't know the right terms to type in as I only just found these. You should have seen my son's face when the lightbulb came on - I had no idea it would impress him so much to build a circuit. But it has opened his eyes to a whole new world, and I expect great things from him now. So if you're looking at this, I definitely recommend following up on that and buying a set - just probably not this one.

Very trash. Poor product not work all time. Seller not help. $1 product trick people on Amazon sell more pretty picture. No buy. Many get discount for fake review.

Fairly easy for child to set up but not a lot of possibilities
