Will this rack work with both a hard top and a soft top on a Wrangler JK?

I have a 2001 with a hard top and it fits just fine.

Will it hold 2 bows or just 1 ?

It is designed to carry only one bow, but it is a great product,I've never had a problem with my bow staying in place.
