Sophie is a gifted hairdresser, and one day hopes to be a stylist for the stars. Among her friends, she's regarded as a kind and understanding person, and above all, a good listener. She's not afraid to experiment with new hairstyles (hence her wild, pink-streaked wig). Sophie comes dressed in a chic, urban outfit that suits her profession as a hairstylist. She's wearing a denim jacket, which complements her graphic tee and pink plaid skirt. Her outfit includes impressive details: from the seams of her shirt to her belt buckle, it is evident that a lot of effort was put into her design. Sophie's features are just as detailed. Her blonde hair is silken and soft, ideal for combing and styling. Her expressive blue eyes are striking, and have been inserted rather than painted for added realism. Sophie also has 14 points of articulation, which allows for dozens of lifelike poses. She can stand upright when balanced correctly. All of her clothes are removable, so your child can play dress up with her using other Liv outfits (purchased separately). Accessories and an Exclusive web site A diehard fashionista, Sophie decorates herself with numerous accessories. She has removable silver earrings, and a stylish blue purse that matches her top. She also comes with a glittery scarf, a pink hairbrush and a fashionable pair of thick-rimmed glasses. These accessories are typically easy to detach, although smaller kids might need help removing her wig and earrings. Each Liv Doll also comes with a web code, so you can access the exclusive LivWorld web site. The site contains fun activities, videos and games made just for LivWorld fans. You can even read your doll's diary to get to know her better. Registration for the site requires parental supervision. What's in the Box Sophie doll with clothes and accessories, pink-streaked wig, and comb. From the Manufacturer Sophie is a truly loyal friend and has an immense creative talent. She’s found her "calling“ – Hairstylist to the Stars! She’s a fantastic listener who easily attracts new friends – what hairdresser doesn’t double as a therapist? Her eagerness to experiment with new hairstyles on old friends are both her strength and her weakness – especially when she doesn’t wear her glasses. Her friends want to support her and have a hard time resisting her pleas to “make them over”. The results can be totally fab – everyone gushed over Alexis at the Spring Fling. But they can also leave her friends somewhat blue – wearing glasses while dyeing hair shouldn’t be 20/20 hindsight

A wonderful toy for my grandgirl, but have those sharp scissors handy!
This doll was a gift for my granddaughter for her 10th birthday. The doll is actually quite attractive, the clothes are stylish and modern, her accessories are very interesting (especially to a 10 year old) and the articulation of the body joints is really quite amazing. We loved the fact that the wig can be removed and "Sophie" can go from long hair to a buzz cut instantly. There is a piece of paper attached to the back of the cardboard explaining the trick of how to place the wig on the doll's head again after it is removed the first time. The accessories which come with the doll are very, very small, as is to be expected for a doll of this size so the choking/hazard warnings should be taken very seriously. There is one very important thing you will need to take into account when opening this package. Do not expect to have your child playing with this product immediately. Every single loose item attached to the doll, or even an item which MIGHT become loose, is anchored down with incredibly thin, clear filament line which takes some hard work to remove. And a sharp pointed instrument! Even this doll's hair was anchored down. After the wrestling match involved in removing "Sophie" from the packaging was finished I then had to find and pick up all those tiny pieces of filament in order to throw them away. The doll is really quite marvelous and my grandgirl absolutely loved her from the first minute she saw her, but there are many, many tiny pieces of accessories and the packaging was quite a struggle to deal with. Especially with an excited 10 year old jumping from one foot to the other waiting for me to get all the tie-downs cut!

My daugher loves it;)
My four year old loves her. She is the same size as Barbie so they can share clothes (a big deal in my house!). The shoes however, do not fit anybody else. It is hard to keep the wigs from getting super ratty (just like barbie hair) and my daughter needs help getting them on but it is fun for her to change her hair style so drastically. Under the wig is a plastic pixie-like hair style so if you lose the wigs she doesn't look like a chemo patient;) The joints all bend making her able to sit on chairs and ride horses better than the average barbie doll (also a big deal at my house:)).

great line of dolls
My 9 year old loves this line. She has a lot of Barbies and the Liv dolls play well with them. LOL The Liv doll wigs are really well made and fun to change. I think they really give Barbie a run for the money.
