This are a great value. I place them in various locations for ease of access: kitchen, desk, car, laundry, basement, Keychain, purse, craft kit. Fits in your palm. Easy & safe to use. I have used this brand and they last me for years. Great price & quality. Blade is about 1.5 cm long, very sharp & good for general tasks. If you are doing a heavy task, this isn't the blade for you dont use it for taking up your carpet or taking down drywall. Recommend

I bought 2 of these at a hardware store several years ago, and the second one finally broke. I keep it on my key chain, and use it constantly for my small business: opening packages, breaking down boxes, etc. Sounds silly, but it is one of the handiest and most dependable gadgets I ever bought. Thank goodness I was able to find it on Amazon!! It is as good as my old ones (better, the blade is new and sharp). It was so long ago, I don't remember the price I originally paid, but I am pretty sure it wasn't less than this.

I hope that long term quality is as good as the one I am retiring after about 20+ years of service. There seems to have been no change in the quality or size. The blade is very sharp, rather thin, and the best use is probably cutting paper tape. Occasionally, I have used it to cut through pesky clear plastic packaging. The blade retracts very quickly.
