VHT Blk Engine Enamel Flat

I used this VHT Gloss Black Engine Enamel while refreshing parts on my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sahara JKU, and I was impressed with both the finish and ease of application. The can arrived quickly and well packaged with no dents or leaks. It sprayed evenly with a consistent fan pattern, making it easy to apply several light coats. The gloss black finish came out smooth with great coverage and gave older engine components a clean, factory-like appearance. After proper surface prep, the paint adhered well and dried to a durable finish. It’s a great choice for engine brackets, pulleys, valve covers, and other underhood parts that need a fresh look. Paint is good quality, but the sheen is all wrong. This is more of a semi-gloss than a satin.

Paint flows well. Take it slow with light coats. I sandblasted the parts before painting. Can says wait 7 days before placing into use.

I've used VHT products for many year on headers and exhaust manifolds, but this was the first time using it on a radiator. I had purchased an aluminum radiator for my 1972 Chevy C10, but never liked seeing the silver through the grill. After some research, I found VHT GM Satin Black was highly recommended. I was not disappointed. The paint matches my engine compartment very well. As with anything you paint, proper preparation is key. A primer undercoat is not recommended on radiators, as it will hold in extra heat. The only negative about the product, is that it needs a fan style spray nozzle for more even coverage.

I'm using this high temp engine paint on my Harley motor and Transmission along with the VHT high temp primer. I'm happy the way the engine paint covers and I like the satin black finish it gives the paint a little sheen rather than the flat black.

Excelente, queda muy bien el color, parece chicle babeado, con su primario para que agarre bien, color rosa y luego transparente todo de alta temperatura queda muy bien protegido y brilla más. Siguiendo el proceso de pintado que indica las instrucciones de la lata se obtiene un excelente resultado. Recomendado.

Doesn't have the finish you would expect, I expected a more Matt powder coat like the primer (white) was, but it is definitely a more gloss look. Not bad overall and the end result I'm still happy with (as stupid as the project overall was haha)

Product is as you would expect a can of paint to be. Unfortunately I had the worst delivery experience with Couriers Please. Took 19 days to travel 40-50kms. Twice told Amazon the attempted delivery when I can guarantee they did not. My review is purely for the delivery service, product is fine.
