They are not. I have the set and use regularly. They are a nice thickness and when you use them, you aren't afraid they will break.....

big spoon is 12 1/4" long, middle spoon is 11" long, small spoon is 8" long.

Are these spoons made in the USA?

I am not sure, but I do not think it matters. I have quality products made in countries around the world. Some products I have that are made in the USA have not lasted long at all.

Is the largest one deep enough to use as a serving spoon for casseroles, etc.?

Definitely!! I often will use the large spoon for spaghetti sauce, mashed potatoes, etc.
