I purchased this as a gift for a 9-yr old. He loves it and has spent a good deal of time playing with it. He always enjoyed magnet tile-type toys, so this was a logical next step as he got older. There have been some frustrations with nearly completed builds collapsing, but this seems to be more of a motor skills issue and a problem with the toy itself. It requires a bit of finesse to hold it together long enough for it to be secured. The box I received had obviously been a return and the toy played with, but when I posted seller feedback, the seller reached out promptly and replaced the item which was really nice. It wasn't stated on the website, but apparently it was an Amazon-fulfilled order. Overall, a great toy. I expect I will be purchasing more in the future.

Awesome product. Very relaxing, and enjoyable to work with. You will be surprised at how many adults will instantly gravitate towards these if you have them out. I keep mine on the coffee table. DONT BUY THE SMALLER BOX!! You will regret it instantly!! I have now purchased 1 box of the 110, and 4 boxes of the 174. And, could honestly have 2 more boxes to feel like you have plenty to work with.

We gave this as a gift to an 8 yr old grandson who just loved it. Well made, beautiful, and the pieces are a good size to work with.

Honestly, I disappointed by the set. Everything they claim is true: magnets are strong, many possibilities for designs, it is addictive. But! You can't build more then half of the designs in the manual! The strength of magnets causes them to be pulled to each other when you don't plan and it is very difficult to place the plastic inserts inside a side. The more edges, the more difficult it is: so triangles are fine, pentagons- an ordeal. And they do not stay in place! The pull of the other magnets as you add them distorts the shapes and the plastic inserts fall out. But without the inserts, especially if you use pentagons or more the one shape per side, they are not going to keep the shape without an insert... This way making any complicated shapes becomes an exercise in zen when you see all efforts go in vain again and again. Oh, and there are too little of magnets, you have to buy 2+ sets to build some of the designs in the manual, and add some edges where manual doesn't show, so it keeps the shape. No wonder the pictures in the manual are not photos, but renderings. Would really like to see those pentagon based builds in real life.

Great product. Ordered for grandchildren 7 and 9. The 9 yr. old played but the 7 yr old was not interested. However that being said, the 7 yr. old loved trying to put the pieces away back in the box ( challenging with the magnetism). I was surprised how busy it kept the 7 yr. old.

It helps to keep them actively using their hands and understanding of geometry.

I purchased this as a gift for my seven-year-old granddaughter and my 13-year-old grandson. They both enjoy it very much and its durability and hours of fun, making different shapes and designs.

Ordered for Christmas for my 8year old, she started making the structure by the instructions, I was helping her, then we stopped in the middle because there was not enough magnet sticks. What a disappointment. Returning. It’s embarrassing as a parent to experience this.

It doesn’t look as new, already was open before. Terrible packaging, heavy parts were packed together with the plastic ones. Disappointed!

Great product

Tolles Spielzeug für Kinder – kreativ und lehrreich Ich habe das Set für meinen Sohn gekauft und er spielt sehr gerne damit. Die Teile sind gut verarbeitet und die Magneten halten ausreichend fest, sodass viele verschiedene Konstruktionen möglich sind. Es fördert die Kreativität und macht gleichzeitig Spaß. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass Kinder eigene Ideen umsetzen können und sich länger damit beschäftigen. Die Qualität wirkt stabil und sicher für den Alltag. Fazit: Ein sehr gutes Spielzeug, das Spaß macht und gleichzeitig fördert. Mein Sohn beim Spielen – fördert Kreativität und macht Spaß Ideal für Kinder ab ca. 6 Jahren.

This was a Christmas present to grand children living in Melbourne and so, living in Switzerland I haven't seen it. But I have heard that it was appreciated, which is always a good thing. Good service from Amazon delivering the present on time.
