These flashlights are pretty much identical to a number of other brands I have bought in the last few years. I like them and at this point they're sort of a commodity. The battery choices for this flashlight are pretty wide. It comes with a holder for three AAA batteries but these dinosaur old one-use batteries are best avoided. Additionally it comes with a clear plastic sleeve so that you can use a single 18650 lithium battery. Also like many of this style flashlight you can leave the sleeve out and put a 2170 battery in as well. (21700 is same thing.) See photo. This is a newer slightly larger lithium rechargeable cell that is used in a lot of vacuums e-bikes drill batts etc. also Teslas! You can use button top or flat top lithium cells. Just make sure to put the positive side in first. I took apart an old Dyson vacuum battery and it was filled with 2170s. Three AAAs add up to 4.5 volts. A single lithium cell is only 3.7 volts. So you may find that the lithium beam is not as bright, however the ability to use these rechargeables is fantastic as they last a long time and I have a small drawer full of them. With a dozen of these batteries and a few of these flashlights you can light up your house during a power outage for days! It would take hundreds of AAAs to do the same. I wish every small consumer product were sold with the ability to use these lithium battery cells because they are so much cheaper and longer-lasting and better for the environment than the old disposable alkaline cells we're all used to. There ought to be a law.

They work great! We mostly wanted them to keep in different rooms of house if we had power outages. They are compact and powerful

If you want a great small flashlight these are the best. I gave them as table gifts & the guys really liked them. They have a great range of lights. We also have them by our bed for earthquake preparedness. They have a nice wrist band so easy to carry.

These are some good little flashlights! We accidentally dropped one in our marina on Lake Erie and it stayed lit. The marina isn't very deep so we tried to net it. After 20 minutes of trying we finally got it and it was STILL lit! I went to take the batteries out to dry it out and it was completely dry inside!
