Makes great bread

Great yeast
I was surprised how well it raised my bread using a home bakery. It was recommended to use for a slow raising method. But I set the timer to bake within 10 hours. This long activation helped the bread rise well. The bread was fluffy and soft. It smelled sweet, and everyone in the house came to taste. I am glad I bought it.

I love using this yeast! It adds such great flavor to any bread, I loved when I would leave it to bloom because it smells so buttery!

It's not instant yeast. It takes at least 4 hours to rise. Read the label.
Works great, I had difficulty learning how to use this yeast, adding it right to the flour, but I did some research and now I know how to use it.

Some Quality Control Issues
Pros: Great performance, nicely compact airtight container. Cons: A tas expensive per ounce versus SAF and the yeast is not always guaranteed to be alive. I bake bread and make pizza a lot and I've ordered 6 of these over the course of a year. One of the six I discovered while proofing the yeast was already dead on arrival. Extra info: All 6 were sealed/airtight on arrival. All 6 are stored in the fridge immediately after opening. None last more than about two months because I go through a lot of yeast. None had exterior damage when I bought them or signs of tampering with the pull-tab lid. I still love this yeast but in my limited experience, quality control might be spotty so I recommend always ordering two at a time.

Not so good for the money
I bought this yeast as I trust the brand name. The first can was superb. The second can was literally dead! Worst yeast ever. So I don’t think I’ll come back for a third can. Such a shame as I love their 00 flour. Be aware that this yeast may be dead if you buy it! If you line to bake then you know what bad yeast can do to your recipes and what a waste of time and ingredients it can be. I feel bad I had to write this review. ☹️

Doesn't last until expiration
This is an OK yeast. When it is fresh, it works, but it works very slowly and doesn't produce an impressive rise. It doesn't have any special Italian flavor, and is not better for pizza or bread than other yeasts. The problem is that even unopened, it simply does not last until expiration date. I had an unopened container with months remaining before expiration, opened it and there was 0 rise. This simply has never happened with more reliable brands. I recommend SAF Red or Gold as the most reliable dry yeasts. Red is for low sugar bread/pizza and Gold is for anything with moderate to high sugar content. These actually last far past the expiration dates, especially if kept in fridge/freezer.

Etwas zu viel für Privaten Gebrauch
Beste Trockenhefe für Pizzateig. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Leider etwas viel für den privaten Gebrauch, da ich mir kaum vorstellen kann sie aufzubrauchen nachdem sie erstmal geöffnet wurde und sie deshalb nicht mehr allzulange haltbar ist.
