Possibly the best Kitchen Device I have purchased!
I'm one of those people who likes to spend as little time in the kitchen as possible and prefers to expend the absolute minimum of effort required to cook myself decent food. The key word there is decent, because, whilst being rather lazy, I still aim to eat a nutritious and plentiful diet. This rice cooker has been a true GODSEND in both regards. I quickly wash some brown rice, add 3x the water, then add some mixed vegetables to the steamer and then sit down on my sofa and wait. 20-30 mins later I've got a perfectly cooked rice dish with perfectly steamed veggies. I've been mixing up the veggies each day and honestly think i'm spending less time cooking but receiving a more healthy diet than I ever have in my life. It's sturdy, reliable, easy to wash and even if I occasionally add too much water it seems to cook it until its absorbed anyway which makes life so simple. One word of advice is to remember to clean out the little water collector on the back every meal (you just slide it out, pour it away, wash it and put it back on). Another quick bit of advice would be to add more water for brown rice than white rice and to add veggies about 1/3rd way through cooking if cooking with brown rice to avoid the veggies becoming TOO steamed. All-in-all one of the most value for money purchases I've ever made.

Great rice cooker
I used to use a rice cooker years ago when I lived with an ex, and I had missed having one. I decided I wanted to get one, and after having read various reviews, I decided to purchase the Resishunger one. The build quality is really good, and I like that it has the option to steam vegetables in it at the same time as cooking rice. It’s so simple to use, and it comes with clear instructions. One word of caution - it does say that it recommends “not using more than 6 cups of rice”, however on my first use, I did 6 cups of rice, and it was clearly too much for the cooker to handle - water started coming out of it, and it went everywhere! So my recommendation is not use more than 5 cups of rice MAX. I have been using the rice cooker on an almost daily basis since I got it, and it cooks the rice to perfection - it does exactly what I wanted it to. It’s also quite easy to clean. It would have been nice to have had a power switch on it, but that’s not much of a problem - you just switch it off and on via the mains. Overall I am happy with my purchase and I would recommend this rice cooker to others.

All in all brilliant
This rice cooker is decent size. The steamer was a must have for me and I make rice, veg and fish in it at the same time. The only thing I find is that the rice sometimes gets a bit brown/burnt at the bottom which is a shame. However I have to say I don't rinse my rice before putting it in, so that might be why. You can take the bowl out of the rice cooker so it's super easy to clean. It has a little steaming vent. You can take some of it apart to clean that but it is pretty fiddly to clean that part. Am I happy with the purchase? Yes definitely. No regrets

Perfect rice every time
My partner eats a lot of rice- it's his go to snack or addition to a meal, but would always get rice stuck to the pan or burn the bottom slightly, or leave the steamer equipment out too much. So I decided to get him (us) an early Christmas present of this rice cooker based on the good reviews. There are a few elements that make this a great rice cooker to use: 1. Easy to clean So the non stick coating really works and makes it easy to clean- you only really need to rinse it to get the starchy residue/ leftover grains off. You'll need to wipe the top of the lid too because of the steam, but again that's just a quick wipe with a warm wet cloth. 2. Easy to use Just add your rinsed rice, add 1.5x water with some salt and/or spices, flick the switch to cook and it'll cook based on an internal scale thing automatically, and turn it to warm once done so it doesn't overcook. If you try it and think it needs a bit more water, you add a lil bit, return it to cook mode, and it does it automatically again- really low effort. 3. Easy to store The plug detaches from the base unit, so you can store the lead in the cooker without having to faff about with a cumbersome lead. All the bits that come with it fit nicely inside it so you don't have little parts floating around the kitchen just waiting to be lost. 4. Saves a space on the hob Usually whenever I did rice I'd need to use up the most handy sized pot and keep an eye on it on the hob. I suppose this isn't specific to this product and relates more to rice cookers in general, but I think it's still valid combined with the easy to clean part. 5. Reduces steam in the kitchen For some reason the kitchen gets less steamy using the rice cooker. Not sure what this magic is but I'm here for it. The first couple of uses give off this kinda plastic-y smell bit that goes, and I think it's just because it's not been used before and comes straight from the factory. I would provide a picture, but it's exactly as it appears in the product image so it wouldn't add anything. Thumbs up from me!

Perfect and delicious rice every time
One of the best things I have bought in a long time. I had been debating whether to buy a rice cooker for a while. So glad I did. This is so easy to use and I get delicious, perfect rice every time. The only criticism is the lack of instructions for quantity of rice to water ratio. I cook two cups of rice to two and just under a quarter cups of water. I thoroughly wash the rice, using a sieve. I also add a little vegetable boullion and garlic oil if I want reasonably plain rice. If I'm making a curry, I add a knob of coconut oil, tumeric, paprika, 4 bruised cardomom pods and a star anise. For a Chinese dish, I add a little stir-fry oil or sesame oil. I have not found that I get a film at the bottom of the pan, although I do not leave it on the keep warm function for very long and if I am taking a few minutes longer to finish the dinner, I just open the lid and give it a good stir. As my rice is cooked within about 25 minutes, I don't see what is to be gained by using the keep warm function for very long. All in all, very happy with my purchase. If you are thinking about buying a rice cooker, I would certainly recommend this one. I would happily eat rice every day now I have this machine.

Consistently good results
I am from the Far East and have struggled to replace my Japanese rice cooker that has been with me for 20 years. There are many similar products on the market, for a lot more money. I considered this together with a Korean version. For me, a rice cooker just needs to cook and keep warm. This one has a steamer that you can use whilst cooking the rice but it doesn’t change the fundamental function of one button to cook the rice. The rice came out exactly as it should be, for the consistency of jasmine rice and basmati rice. There was a previous review that mentioned a smell from the condenser on the lid, this did happen to mine but only for the first 2 times of use. Afterwards it disappeared. The pot itself is easy to remove and wash. The rice takes 15 minutes-20 minutes to cook. Frankly, afterI turned it on, I left it to do the job so I didn’t need to watch it. It seems to be working like my previous rice cooker so would highly recommend. Buy it if you need a rice cooker- for me, I use it almost everyday.

Needs replacing after three years of use
A decent rice cooker. I bought this in November 2022, but sadly now in December 2025, I will have to buy another rice cooker. The inner bowl has become vety corroded from washing in the dishwasher and now water leaks through.

Didn’t know I needed it until I had it!
The first time using this was a complete fail as the instructions don’t give a guide of how much water to use but after a little research and watching videos on you tube (the photo is a helpful guide screen shotted from a video), I absolutely love this rice cooker! I didn’t realise how much I was over cooking rice when boiling it in a pan! I usually only cook basmati rice and this is my method: Measure rice in the cup (I only cook for myself so make 1 cup). Put rice in a bowl, add water and stir around then drain - repeat this around 7 times until water is as clear as it can be. Let the rice soak in water for around 20-30 minutes then completely drain. I spray the bottom of the pan with fry light (oil could be added in replacement) then add the rice and 1 cup of water (the ratio for basmati is 1:1) Around 11 minutes later I get perfectly cooked rice! There is always a layer of rice welded to the bottom of the pan so I always cook a little extra than needed, just soak the pan in water and it cleans just fine :) I just wipe the lid to clean. I don’t have much experience with rice cookers but I’m really happy with this one! Hope this helps as I was completely lost when I bought mine lol
