Escape Proof Cat Harness with Leash Medium, Adjustable Cat Walking Jackets, Padded Cat Vest Black Plaid

We bought this for our cat Roger who had a sore on his back which wouldn’t heal. He kept scratching and licking it, and the cone from the vet was making him cross and miserable. This coat was perfect, He got used to it really quickly, and the strong Velcro kept it very secure. The Velcro means you can fit it just as tight as it needs to be. It completely stopped him from bothering his sore patch, which is now all better. We didn’t try the lead on it, because Roger’s threshold of tolerance is quite low, but it looks like it would work well if you have a cat who’d be up for it. It was great for what we needed, easy to put on and take off. It fastens round the neck and belly, and it stays put. As an added bonus he looked really handsome in it too. Jolly Roger, very happy.

Hard or impossible for him to get out of. Easy to put on. He walks really well, no problems with the shoulder area constricting his natural cat walking abilities. Well made. Velcro strong. Watch for your fluffy cats fur though. He really loves this being in the army. Honestly the best for a slim slinky cat or older kitten. I got extra small. Very good with easy, stress free attaching. Good lead strong attachment at the correct anatomical area of his back just after his shoulders. He is an eascapologist and this he has not got out of, and his neck is safe too, as cats can get throttled on other stupid ones. Not this one padded well. Go for it. Watch the kitty for with the velcro.

The product is well made and very pretty. My cat looks adorable. It took a little while to get my cat used to the harness and it wasn't easy initially getting it on her (due to my cat - not the product!). However, we persevered as I wanted her to be able to go outside again. She has various ailments and vets orders were that she had to now be a house cat. Felt terrible keeping her in as she always had freedom to go out whenever she wanted. She has now been into the garden with the harness and lead on and although she didn't do too much walking she seemed comfortable and calm and enjoyed the fresh air / sniffing the plants. We will continue taking her out for short periods so that she gets more used to it. Hopefully she will start walking more in it so we can take her further. She used to love walking up to the local park with us before she became housebound (we live in a rural area and the park is very close down a side road) and hopefully in the future we can take her there again (and carry her when needed). Very pleased with the product. Very secure and seems comfortable for my cat. She hasn't tried to get out of it, pull it off or demonstrate any discomfort while wearing it.

My kitten is 14 weeks old and this fits perfectly! I had tried a different style of harness first but it didn't feel super secure. This fits really well, my cat can't sneak out of it and it doesn't seem to impede her movements. She does sometimes flop and refuse to move but that's pretty normal with harness training and the speed and confidence with which she moves when offered a treat proves it can't be affecting her movement. It looks really nice and is well made My cat sits on it and meows to request I put it on her whennshe wants to go out so she seems to like it!

Nice to look at but the fabric is very thick and constrictive to my cat's movements. Does not have added security buckle across the front, although the velcro is very strong. Not suited to our cat.

This is the best cat harness I've tried, it's durable, fits properly and is adjustable, my cat hasn't managed to reverse out of it and it has kept her safe when doors are open etc as I've just moved house. The only issue is that the D rings are too far apart for you to be able to connect them both to the lead, but that doesn't take away from how brilliant it is! We moved into our new house with our cat one week ago, and as he was a former outside cat I wanted to be able to bring him into the garden so he wouldn’t feel too trapped. I thought this fabulous “escape proof” harness would do the job for that. For the first week, all was well, we explored the grass and had a great time. Until tonight. A new neighbour came over to say hi as we’re new to the neighbourhood, and my timid cat of course tried to run the other way, and slipped RIGHT out of the harness, without a bit of issue. It was on completely correctly, it’s still fastened shut from when he got out of it. So if you want a pretty harness, that’s about all it’s good for.

My 6kg cat escaped the first two times wearing this. He lay on his side, and using the ground as resistance pulled his front feet through the tummy velco latch, and his head through the neck latch, then the tummy latch. He then ran off. The harness was pulled inside out by his actions. It's a very nice harness however, build quality is superb, I can pick my big lad up holding just the harness leash attachment points. My big Ginger looks wicked too in his camo harness. The Nurses at the Vets loved it! Great quality, nice design, but the determined, thinking feline will get it off.

It is everything we were looking for. We tried the over the head harness and kitty was not going to let us even try...but with this, it was soooo easy, it looks comfortable, she adjusted to it within seconds, loves wearing it to go outside and roll in the grass, and it's sooooo cute! It fit her a little big (size small), but with the velcro it's easy to adjust to size...and no escape issues, make sure you put it on snug! Can't wait to purchase more...we looooove it...thank you! Uodate: Since my last review, I have purchased the blue and white sailor harness in a size Large since our little kitty is almost fully grown to her adult size. The harness is adorable and she looks soooo cute in it, the velcro fir thus size is not as long, wide or strong as my first purchase of the small pink lace harness. This one does have a couple of snap closures around the neck and the belly and it helps keeping our kitty secure. It also came with a matching blue and white stripped leash that adds to the cutness. And once again,no escape issues! Thank you and yes, this is our go to place for our kitties harness shopping 😊

I love this harness. I decided to try it on my elderly, (indoor only) cat as he has always loved sitting in open windows and doors. As he had never been in a harness, my priority was finding one that appeared comfortable and was easy to put on. My cat is a bit ill tempered and might attack if unhappy. So I truly needed one I could dress him in before he had a chance to hurt me.😅 This one absolutely met both standards. It is so easy to put on as it attaches with just two velcro straps. For its simplicity, it still seems quite secure. Comfort can easily be adjusted by tightening or loosening the two straps. As it turns out, he absolutely loves being outside and puts up with the harness very well. This is definitely a quality product with a great design ( and cute too).

OVERALL: This is a well-made, cute vest that is worth the money. My biggest concern was how secure the vest is, as my cat is very timid and spooks easily. While walking outside she has tried to bolt a few times while wearing this vest (got spooked by a falling leaf once lol) and the velcro has always held very, very well. We've been using it for a couple months and the velcro strength has not faded yet. However, SIZE UP. PROS: -Well-made. Stitching and fabric are quality for the price point. -Both the velcro and the clip for the leash are secure. I trust them to hold. -Very cute. -There is no chest strap, which can be very uncomfortable for cats. CONS: -Runs small. I followed other reviews and decided to size-up, which was the right call. It has also given her a little bit of room to grow into it. -The leash that comes with the vest is a little too short for me. She has to stay pretty close to my feet when we walk due to the length. This may be okay for some, but I want her to have a bit more room to roam. -She has never escaped from the vest, but has managed to get a front paw through the neck strap. This leaves her in a very contorted, uncomfortable position. Just a warning to never leave your cat unattended while wearing this vest. -It is possible that the velcro strength may eventually fade as we use the vest. Will have to keep an eye on it over time. 11/11/20 update: After about a year of use, I ended up switching to an Adventure Cats Harness for my cat. My cat was able to escape twice from this vest while outside and after my second experience chasing her around the house, I started looking for something with a chest strap (certainly more uncomfortable for her, but ultimately best for her safety). She was able to escape by facing me and backing up quickly. The pull from the leash on the back of the vest allowed her to literally just slip it off over her head and then front arms. The vest held-up fine as long as she was “running away“ from me with her tail facing me, but once she figured out this particular trick there was no going back.

I love it and she loves it. I tried so many harnesses, this one is perfect . I order another size up for when she grows more.
