Really good workbench, nice and solid and easy to assemble
Really impressed with the value and end result after assembly, it did take a couple of hours to put together, but I was able to do it myself with a hammer, spanner and screwdriver. The assembly instructions are ok and are quite through, although you do need to pay attention, I did put in a section the wrong way around, but it was easy to pop-out the pieces to correct and re-attach. And once all the wood panels are in the entire bench is really solid. My only complaint is the peg board hooks are really easy toknock off as they are cantilever (L-Shaped) and I am always picking them up, but I expect I could change these easily enough.

Decent for the price but only for light work
I ordered the bench on a Friday with an estimated delivery of the following Wednesday to Saturday but it came on the Tuesday, seeing as Evri delivered, a pleasant surprise. Not the most sturdy of benches but adequate for my needs, if your looking for one to hold a car engine whilst working on it, not for you. After unpacking all seemed ok, but when we tried putting it together found issue with the parts as well as how the were itemised, alphabetically. The instructions are not very clear but able to be followed carefully and slowly. On other reviews, the flimsiness of the parts was mentioned as was the length of the bolts. Yes, it is quite flimsy, but once put together isn't to bad. As for the bolts, luckily I had a few longer ones as i needed 4. The biggest issue was, what turned out the be the draw runner holders. They were wrongly labelled and both righthanded. I contacted the seller and they replied straight away but the solution was not to replace the parts easily but to send me a new package, take out the part(s) needed and then arrange for the remaining package to be returned to them, at no cost to me. This would have took up a week of waiting for delivery and returning, and would the part needed been in. It was easy for me to drill the two holes required, all finished in 30 minutes. I've given this 4 stars; 3 for the bench - instructions, build and missing parts, but it's 5 stars for the customer service and the discount. Would I recommend this bench? Yes, if you've got the patience and the right parts.

Would've Been 5*
Looked at this for a while before deciding to purchase. Read the reviews, did my research. I knew that it was going to be an experience to assemble based on all the previous reviews - however nothing prepared me for what I experienced when it arrived. Open the box, everything well packaged and labelled, take everything out and separate everything (a previous review recommended this). No instructions. NONE. I was expecting bad instructions, but there were NONE at all. I double checked the box, and every part in case they had become stuck or wedged between some parts, but no, no instructions. I went to the manufacturers website to check if there was a PDF version available, no, however there was an assembly video, which was terrible but did allow me to work out the order things needed to go together, but not which parts to use or anything. Luckily I am pretty well minded when it comes to putting things together, so after some trial and error and looking at the listing images and the video, I managed to get it put together - after almost four hours! As is said in one of the reviews, with the main frame, there is one of two ways the back supports go together, you've got a 50/50 chance of getting it right, fortunately its not overly complicated to retrace your steps to switch them around. My last point is the screw lengths, there are three different sizes, two look very similar, but one is shorter than the other, make sure you use the shorter ones in the right places so you still have longer ones when you need them (I assume the instructions would tell you this). I would honestly give this a four or five stars, because once its assembled, its pretty great. It's sturdy, well made, looks good, and it's great value for money. It's not going to cut it if you are doing anything aggressive. But for light work (I use it for bicycle wheel building, and bike maintenance) I works brilliantly. However, the fact that there were no instructions and the experience of putting it together was quite frankly terrible, I can only give it one star. Do not buy if you have no patience, or an inability to put things together. If you have an eye for constructing things, you should be fine.

So close and yet so far.
This workbench is so close to being fantastic but is let down by a few key things. 1 assembly is fiddly and is not helped by many mistakes in instructions. Holes not lining up (see pic) so needing to be drilled out. Instructions seem wrong ie steps out of order so when it comes to fit shelf wood and bench top you have to take bolts back out to fit them. And lastly the draw is held on by the smallest screws and the bars the rollers screw too have to be installed upsidedown to allow clearance. And last thing I was missing 1 screw and bolt (luckily I found one to fit from my nut and bolt pot) but if you don't have that luxury then draw wouldn't be able to be fitted. Having said all that once assembled it's actually very good, decent size, very sturdy and a nice size pegboard. Yes it's cheap and the end product is worth it but dam it's the worst flat pack ever due to the instruction mistakes and missing bolts.

Excellent product
In the past I have purchased a number of VonHaus products and have always found them to be well designed and well made. This work bench is no exception. It is fairly easy to put together. I thought I had parts missing and contacted customer service who were very helpful, I then found the parts in the packing. When completed the bench is solid and stable, overall an excellent product.

Great service and exemptional customer service - Great product for the price!
I bought this work bench, as looked like a great product and the reviews seemed good. As a few people have mentioned, the instructions are a little 'wrong' in places, but hey! Who reads the instructions these days? After using a bit of logic and a couple of relaxed hours, it was completed. The next day, I noticed one drawer runner was broken, as wasn't sitting right when starting to use it. No worries, the company were really quick to resolve the problem, by sending a whole new package, to take the bits out that I needed to fix it. If you're looking for a workbench for home projects and realise that you're not paying ยฃ1k, then you'll find this workbench spot on. If you're reading this and not sure if you want to purchase, then rest assured buy one today. I'm glad I did!

Enough to make a craftsman cry!
First off, I am a competent DIYer, but I m not a craftsman. I am guessing that as you are looking at reviews for a workbench you probably appreciate something that is well manufactured and will give years of good service. Perhaps you take pride in your work and like it when others do as well? If so buying this workbench may upset you. I bought two of these benches just prior to the COVID lockdown, so I could not take them to where I will use them and assemble until restrictions were lifted, by which time I was out of the returns window. This is the only reason I persevered. Both benches were very lightly packaged, and the outer boxes were torn. What I did not realise initially is that all the fixings were simply thrown loose into the box, so of course many had been lost through the tears in the outer box during transit. The polystyrene padding was so thin that the bottom shelf of one had a section broken off where the box had been dropped. The instructions are in very small type, and the wrong part numbers are used in several places, though with a little care this is not too much of a problem. For me the worst problem was that the metal parts had been very badly formed. Many of the connections rely on a tab or tong fitting in to a slot. The slots were not pressed out far enough, and in some places were almost completely closed again by the paint. Also, the tabs were not offset, so I had to bend out the tabs and re-form the slots to get it to fit. This made the assembly into a 4 hour process with a break in the middle to go and buy replacements for the missing fittings. It would have been easily completed in an hour if the fittings were there and the parts were better formed. I was also a bit disappointed by the cheap and thin MDF shelf and top. I doubt that they will last long in my slightly damp workshop before needing to be replaced with plywood. The pegboard is even thinner and the fittings keep falling out so I will replace that in due course as well. In it's favour, the bench is sturdy when finished and it is cheap. But if you take pride in a job well done, you would be better to look elsewhere.
