National Hardware Automatic Gate Latch, 4 in Strike, Steel, Black

I ordered this heavy-duty self-latching gate hardware to install on a cattle fence section, giving me easier access to the property line behind me for ongoing repairs. The build quality is excellent. The latch is stamped from a thick, heavy-gauge steel that feels highly solid, and the glossy black powder-coated finish is applied evenly to protect against rust and harsh weather exposure. The pivot hardware on the catch mechanism operates very smoothly with zero sticking, catching the strike bar securely every single time the gate swings shut. It features pre-drilled, heavy-duty mounting holes that make installation onto a wood post incredibly straightforward with standard outdoor screws. It also includes an integrated hole for a padlock if you require added security. It's a simple, robust piece of hardware that functions flawlessly. Highly recommended.

Easy to install latch though not sure why the screws are so long.

The 4-inch strike provides a solid connection, and the steel construction feels durable enough for regular outdoor use. The black finish gives it a simple, unobtrusive appearance that works well with most gate styles.

Easy to install, works flawlessly with my gate. Comes with all the necessary wood screws to install. Latches well every time!

Latch functions just trying in fact better than most. Position Sledge the gate will latch with a gentle push as opposed to some or you got to slam the gate to make it clock.

Bought this to hold my chicken coop laying box lid open as I collect eggs. Works very well for one handed use as it gravity latches when the pin enters then with one hand I can unlatch while holding the pin to lower the door back down as I hold the eggs in my other hand.

Works as expected. Nice quality unit. Decent hardware included.

GOOD PRODUCT

Good product. It works.

Well built and good gauge of metal.

Perfeito!

TERMINADO EN NEGRO HORNEADO.

Quite sturdy for what it is - Not sure it's really any better than the average one you'd find at a hardware store, but can't argue that it's a solid value for the price. I do wish that it came with a line to pull it open, but I can't fault it as it doesn't say it's included.
