Works as expected - small and light
Theres nothing I can add to the excellent, technical review(s) that already exist for this item. Used to power FPV camera off of the flight battery, instead of the FC's integrated voltage regulator.

Could have been worse?
First BEC, first 6s battery plug in and this thing blew. The good news is that I confirmed for all of you that it is protected. I had this in front of a DJI Air Unit, a $180.00 component. My heart stopped when I saw the “magic smoke”. But to its credit it DID NOT burn up the Air Unit. Very happy about that that’s why I gave it 5 starts even though it burned up. but now I’m leary of the other two. Hope this helps...you decide.

Tiny 5v/12v Bec. Great value
Used one of these to power my Eachine Trashcan flight controller after it's onboard Bec died. Works great. Edit: Same BEC went into a wing now. Still working great! Still have a backup in the drawer for another build! Highly suggest.

Reasonable price, reasonable performance
Works just fine in either 5V or 12V mode. As others have noted, this is not a step-up regulator, it will not output 12V if you provide less than 12V input. Will burn out at 24V or higher, do not use with high-voltage 6S inputs.

Not for 6S
DO NOT use these for 6S packs. They will burn up immediately as others have noted.

Tiny and potent
I used these to power the receiver of my ant weight combat robot since the speed controllers I used didn’t have BEC’s on them. These are tiny in comparison to older ones and actually gave back a good amount of space in a very cramped robot. I just had to solder leads on but they already ship ready for 5V which is nice. Good price for a multi pack of them.

Small DC-DC 85-90% efficiency
Ultra small DC-DC converter - by default it outputs 5V but can be set to 12V by soldering a small jumper - I did not test the 12V. I have not seen any with higher efficiency in such a small size. 12V input 5V 1A output = 90% efficiency 20V input 5V 1A output = 87% efficiency 25V input 5V 1A output = 86% efficiency 12V input 5V 2A output = 88% efficiency 20V input 5V 2A output = 86% efficiency 25V input 5V 2A output = 85% efficiency The max current this DC-DC will deliver for sustained periods is 2.5A - it likely will support short bursts of higher current. On over-current it shuts down without damage. Dimensions are 9.2x16x3.68mm

Small and lightweight , great for twin electric RC planes
I use these in my twin engine 3D printed RC models . Buy two opto ESCs , Y harness together with this BEC and your good to go. Easy to solder.
