Product ID: 15531503
Rumble! Rumble! Roar! Garbage trucks are powerhouses of productivity. Find out what, where, and how garbage trucks work. Detailed diagrams identify the main parts of the machine, while factual text explains this exciting equipment. Looking Glass Library is an imprint of Magic Wagon, a division of ABDO Group. Grades P-3. Review: A book targeted at five-year-olds, with a PhD consultant - My son is obsessed with trash and trucks so we got this from our library. Overall it is a serviceable description of all the different ways that the garbage trucks can be loaded, and the different types. I learned a few things. Mostly I have a lot of respect for the fact that they had a content consultant who is a PhD civil engineering professor you make sure that it's accurate, not something you typically see on a kids book byline. Mostly I just wanted to show my kid pictures of garbage trucks, but with this book I know that they're highly accurate pictures and descriptions of garbage trucks.
