When the then 21-year old Mac DeMarco released his debut Rock and Roll Night Club 12" in the Spring of 2012, it was accompanied by a barrage of bizarrely funny promo videos, wildly unhinged live performances and a not so subtle disparate range of promo photos. The glam facade was purely that, an image that was manufactured for fun to confuse the stiff and compartmentalizing world of indie music journalists. But it was t all a jest, as that EP covered a whole range of music styles that were latent in the ex-Makeout Videotape frontman's already impressive slough of cassette only releases. The sincere and warm Mac who sang "Only You" was the same lipstick wearing sleazoid that crooned "Baby's Wearing Blue Jeans" and that suited him and his listeners just fine. Six months later is his first proper full length, Mac DeMarco 2. As opposed to RNRNC, 2 is a concerted effort to produce a cohesive work that showcases Mac's natural ability as a songwriter, singer and producer. With a new arsenal of recording gear, the fidelity has substantially improved without compromising the immediacy and organic quality of his prior releases under any moniker. Amazing Album
Really good album and well packaged! I doubt this has anything to do with manufacturing and more with the delivery process, but when I ordered it the first time, there was a big crack along the back, so I had to replace it. Luckily, it came just fine the second time! I just wanted to warn people who order albums on Amazon not to expect perfectly protected jewel cases or CDs.

Great album through and through
Great album! I'm usually a hard rock/garage rock/metal guy but wanted a change of pace. This album is really great with its shiny sounding guitars soaked in chorus and flange effects. The sound is really chill and the vocals are just as chill and relatable and memorable. Repetitive yes. once you've listened to the first song don't expect it to change sound too much aside from a couple acoustic songs. So take a listen to the demos and if you like 1 or 2, you'll like the whole album. Also i find this one much better than his most recent release, salad days since that album is just a rehash of this one. Highly recommended

Great Sound & Value
The quality and sound was great. All the art work on the packaging was awesome too. It also comes with a cool double sided poster.

Everything good with the CD, but the packaje came a little broken, but the CD is a 10/10

IM VERY HAPPY!!
LOVEDDDD IT!!! It came quickly, it was exactly what it said to be and it had a bonus paper thingy of like some sketches presumably by Mac Demarco and it’s overall a good product worked as it should and I had no complaints!!!

Best Mac album!
Excellent album from Mac Demarco. I liked it more than Salad Days. Best songs: Cooking up something good, Freaking out the neigbourhood, and Ode to Viceroy.

It's all about the music man
Obviously the music is good. But $60AUD for the most budget sleeve and no poster? Pretty rough. Mac is obviously far too important to worry about the little people. His financial handlers are all about the squeeze. And Mac's ok with it.

Je ne suis pas du tout jeune! et pourtant une nuit d'insomnie je suis tombée sous le charme de ce chanteur, jeune, beau, naturel!, excellent guitariste, original...... Arte redifusait so spectacle en live à St Malo 2017. Un vrai régal!

Llegó a tiempo, en muy buen estado, tenía mis dudas de comprarlo porque vi reseñas que les llegó dañado, pero afortunadamente llego muy bien. No trae insert pero viene con un póster.
