Several people complained about the intensity of the smell, but I specifically got it because of the strong smell. I moisturize my scalp once a week after washing and conditioning my hair and scalp. By the time wash day rolls around again, the smell is mostly gone. The oil is specifically geared towards locs and only oiling one's hair periodically (4 times a month or twice a month, depending on your hair). So, I would definitely not recommend using this product more than once a week because anymore than that, your hair is going to smell like very fragrant incense!

I am in love with their products! This particular scent did smell awesome but it was a bit too strong for me to continue using. It did make my hair feel amazing though and they were quick to offer an exchange for a different scent even though I definitely wasn't expecting them to. The customer service is absolutely unreal and amazing!

This conditioning hair and scalp oil is amazing .however the botttle is way to small I was disappointed of the size of the bottle because the price is just the same as the other products just saying otherwise it leaves your scalp feeling moisturized and feeling rejuvenated as well

A few days ago I asked if this would be good for synthetic dreads. The answer, which I got within hours, was yes so I picked it up right away. Now I can give my evaluation. I was having problems with my dreads sticking together like velcro and then loosening when they pulled apart. I can officially say that this not only helps keep them separated, but it pulls them back together so they're more cohesive. It actually gives them a smidge bit of a shine, too, which they'd never had. I do perfume reviews, so I'm picky about fragrance. This smells exotic and comforting... and it stays with you. It's been a pleasure wearing perfumes with this and smelling them play together. I also want to add that every time I've shopped from Dollylocks, my order was shipped the day of and received three days later. That's almost Amazon Prime fast, so color me impressed.

I was curious despite the reviews stating how the scent is intense. They were right. But when a vague description is utilized for how much product to use; how was I to know. Best option I've used is to put a quarter size in my palm and try to get decent coverage on my scalp and dreads. Let it soak in for 30min to an hour, then hop in the shower and try to rinse it out. It'll leave your hair smelling fresh, but without the intensity that I first experienced

I have been looking at this product for well over a year, was not sure if it worked as there are so many products out there for dreadlocks but this is hands down THE best product for dreadlocks. I ordered the Nag Champa tightening spray with it. If you are not a fan of incense, or products that smell like incense, this is NOT for you. Order Fresh, or unscented. If you love incense, especially Nag Champa you will love, love these products. Beware when you put them on at first, it smells like its too much but after 30-45 minutes the fragrance dies down a lot. Its just a hint of Nag Champa, not overpowering. So, I suggest putting this in your hair 30-45 minutes before you leave the house so that you will not overwhelm others with the fragrance. Other than that...you can not get a better product. I highly recommend their products, they work, and they are truly organic. Happy locking!!!

These products are AMAZING!!!!

I do not have dreadlocks but nag champa is my favorite scent. I purchased this oil and add a drop or two to a leave-in conditioner. I also use the oil as a hand/nail/skin moisturizer. The scent is spot-on and it lasts.
