This is my everyday high school backpack. I carry around like 30 pounds worth of books and this bag has lasted all year without any rips or tears. It’s a pretty large backpack and can fit plenty of books inside. The zippers open and close easily. It has lots of pockets and is very accessible.

This brand is synonymous with quality. The bag is well-constructed and the stitching is neat...it can accommodate the weight of bulky books and the design of the straps ensures your comfort. Ideal for an 8-14 yr old student.

This is better then i thought it would be. I had to replace an old backpack I had for many years. This one has many pockets and room for all my stuff. The quality is great and the color and patterns are exactly as pictured. This is definitely an upgrade to my last backpack.

Bought this for my daughter when she started high school two years ago. It holds her laptop and a bunch of notebooks. The back padding is very good, but the padding on the shoulder straps has worn out. She loved the pink style with lots of pockets. She like to store everything in separate pockets. She loves the pocket on top that she uses to store her cell phone. When it is full and properly loaded it stays upright, so that her phone is not at risk of damage. Its starting to get wear on the bottom, where she constantly puts it on the floor. We are expecting that it will last until the end of the year, for school purposes. It doesn't have a laptop pocket, but she inserts a vertical laptop bag that she can remove as needed. RECOMMENDATION TO MANUFACTURER: Make the bottom a little bit stiffer and more of more durable material. Instructions or diagrams on how to use or adjust the bands. It seems more designed for backpacking than school.

Since this backpack is normally used with students, you do not want anything happening to it especially since you are depending on it. It is not only limited to students; you can use it for any purpose. This backpack comes in a variety of colors, is made from strong material, and has many pockets. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. Design You have many options of colors, which can fit your style no matter what it may be. My only complaint would be that the fabric attached to the zippers fray, but the zippers are still functional. This backpack has water resistant properties too. Spacious Pockets This backpack has a great design with the numerous spacious pockets, and the water bottle holders on the side. Instead of carrying your water bottle, you can put it on the side of your backpack. This is something you will find extremely useful. The pockets are also great to have since you have many to become organized with. You can separate items instead of having to search through one pocket for everything you need. Spacious pockets, and water bottle holders are what you should be taking in consideration when choosing a backpack. Great Product You will not find a better backpack for this great of a price. This backpack has great fashion with the many unique styles offered, and has a great design with reliability. We purchased this backpack and with it, did day hikes on the Wedgemount, Joffre Lakes, Rainbow, and Garibaldi Lake Trails in Whistler, Canada (totaling 3370 meters / 2.1 miles in ELEVATION gain, and 58 kilometers / 36 miles in distance hiked). We hiked in both rain and shine. We used every compartment and strap, opened and closed the pack multiple times during the hikes. The backpack still looks brand new. Not only that, it's stylish enough where you could just keep a couple items in it and walk around the city during the daytime (heard strangers commenting "that's a cool backpack"). The 2 mesh side compartments hold 1 L water bottles perfectly. There are 2 small lateral zipper compartments, located along the topside of the backpack, that fit wallets/cell phones/keys perfectly. You can also fit an IPhone5 into the front shoulder mesh pouch, for even easier access, and tuck your earphones into the opposite strap that has a little loop. The bulk of the backpack is separated into 3 compartments, and the "outside" 2 compartments have individually sewn compartments located within, to help keep things organized. The back and shoulder straps are nicely padded. I found the hook attachment perfect for strapping on my sunhat, but of course it can be used for other things. We were able to fit into this backpack: - 2 rain ponchos - 2 one Liter water bottles - 2 jackets of medium thickness (size M and XS) - 2 sweaters - 2 Bear-Naked sized bags of trail mix - 6 Protein Bars - 2 phones, 2 sets of keys, 2 wallets, 2 sunglasses and their cases, 2 earphones - Magnesium Fire Starter and 2 Mylar blankets (just in case) In short, this is a terrific backpack for couples doing day hikes, and walking around in the town at night while still trying to maintain a sense of fashion sensibilities. Thanks to the padded backside and straps, and the design of the strap juncture and width, it was still comfortable to wear this backpack during the hikes (as comfortable as lugging around a backpack can be). Plus, at the price, it offers incredible value. There are few other products I can think of at this price point, that offers this much in terms of durability, functionality, multipurpose use, convenience, and looks all into one. One of the best purchases of the year!

If I could award zero stars...I'd give negative 10. The backpack has no bottom padding for the tablet sleeve, so if it drops, your device is going to hit without cushioning. The mesh pockets for water bottles are as frail as spider webs. I used one side (fewer than a dozen times) and a large hole that will only continue to tear resulted. On the other bottle pocket, the mesh was separating from the seam, without ever being used, but this is my fault according to High Sierra. I submitted this for warranty repair but HS does not cover their flimsy material and bad sewing, they just put it onto the consumer as 'wear and tear' and decline to repair or replace. I have another much older High Sierra backpack with better padding for devices, but a raggedy bottle pocket that they will not repair under warranty, of course. I prefer to continue using that one over this one, which is made so cheaply and is less protective for a device. HS could make the bottle pockets from the same polyester canvas as the bag, but they use crappy mesh that will definitely rip or separate from the seam, making them useless. The best part is they offered me a 10% then a 20% discount to buy ANOTHER one of their lousy bags. No thanks. Won't be buying any more of their products and advise others to steer clear as well.

Daughter in high school loves the design and size. It can carry several binders and the many pockets come in handy for the supplies and snacks.

Spacious and comfortable. . Has mutipockets could be good enough if you are stressed with a backpack with enough pockets... price is reasonable for what you get comparable with specialed backpack stores
