Worked wonderfully planting Small shrubbery just don’t hit a route

This is a very high quality product especially at this price point. The problem (for me) is that the drill would not go thru the clay type soil around the house and then got caught in roots when I tried in the wooded areas. This is ideal if you have really nice garden beds or a root free open space.

great auger bit

Oh my gosh I wish I had one of these long ago! I was dreading going out in the cold and trying to work the cold hard ground.. but these augers made planting my bulbs so easy and fun 🤗 They are super strong and cut right through the hard almost frozen dirt. I can’t wait to use these to get my garden ready next spring for the veggies I’m going to plant. They are definitely worth the price as I have seen them in a bulb catalog that I get for twice the price. I’m super happy with my purchase!

I have used this bit on several occasions and can testify that it is made of some very tough steel. I have hit rocks and roots of all descriptions and yet I have not seen any damage . A very effective yet easy way to apply granular tree or shrub fertilizer. It is way faster than digging holes or a trench with a shovel. I recommend a plus in 110V. or a 18V. battery powered variable speed driver/drill. use a slow speed and pull the bit back out every two inches to clear soil, roots. Otherwise you may just bury the bit using a drilling speed.

Amazing value and quality build. I needed a solution for securing beach umbrellas. Living in North Carolina I often find our local beach have hard compacted sand. Many of the umbrellas on the market have an auger built into the base of the pole. This is a very nice feature... but sometimes it's not strong enough to break down the compacted sand. Last season I actually broke the tip on my umbrella trying to force it into the sane. With the use of your household rechargeable drill this auger can quickly and effectively dig out a perfect hole to secure your umbrella. I have not used this is soil yet, but it has a robust design and should have no issues breaking thru your soil to provide a planting bed for bulbs and other garden plants.

Didn't hold up when used in rocky soil with an impact drill driver. The spiral auger was welded to the rod only in two places, the front and the back. The welds broke after a few hours of use, making the auger useless (since I don't have a welder).

Item worked as advertised I wish I had this item earlier. Great for loosening soil and mixing soil and fertilizer before planting. It is great tool I wish it was a little longer in the shaft.

Not practical to use with the high speed of a drill. Needs really loose soil

Needs to be attached to your drill; use battery-operated drill for large garden areas where.no plug is availsble. This can be a gardener's best friend for planting, daffodils, tulips and other spring bulbs. This auger makes digging the holes to plant bulbs literally "child's play".
