Can the computer be used while the cover is on? Any worries about overheating?

These are made specifically for when the computer has been shut down - otherwise you will overheat the computer. I believe there is a company who makes paper covers for industrial settings (wood shops, etc) but I haven't found any on Amazon for use while the computer is on.Also please note that these plastic covers are excellent except they DON'T cover the back of the computer. I ended up buying two and then cutting them so it covers the whole computer and so far I am happy with that.

Are these covers washable? If so, how best to do it?

I've had mine for years now, never washed it, I dust it off now and then, and it looks like new, after all these years it shows no signs of wear or tear, very durable for my situation. I might add I have a APC power backup sitting beside it, and it is large enough to covers both. Covers both Desktop and APC.
