Don’t buy
I placed my gun on my bed and the gun fell off the bed with the optic on the gun. When I picked up the gun I looked at the optic. The glass had shattered. It had become useless. This optic is a POS style optic. I highly recommend nobody buy one you get what you pay for buy a good optic it’s worth the money. This one is not worth the little amount of money you pay for it.

Works great at a good price
I own two ADE optics red or green dot sights. The first one I purchased was model RD3-009D for a 1911 (45cal) and then this RD3-009B1 for my Shield. They both work great and I will buy again. The installation is simple with a rear sight tool and I’ve seen videos of them being installed using a brass punch. I had an issue with the 1911 not zeroing. I emailed them with my issue (shooting low) and they sent me a slanted shim to install (no charge) that fixed the problem. Living in California where buying a red dot ready pistol is almost impossible this sight makes it possible at a very good price.

in case of rapid fire is not frendly
the fact you need to On or Off the reddot front the front side makes it impractical in a case of deffense . other issue is start with a very small dot and then you need to press it several times

Not worth the buy
Looks great on the S&W MP Shield 9mm but the actual dot is way too far up even after adjusting the screw to the limit. Sadly I missed other reviews that said the same thing. Now it’s just eye candy. 😒

Decent GREEN DOT
It fits my S&W MP9mm full size, it is a bit big but it works for my 3 gun pistol. It only has a green dot which I don't like, I searched for a red dot optic and this sight came up so I was a little disappointed, but it did mount very easily and instructions were helpful
