Ateco Bench Scraper, Small, Wood

Great product. I use this to scrape my cutting boards before cleaning and oiling, scoop up cut veggies, chop dough, etc... I use it daily. I don't know how I cooked a these years without one. Do not submerge in water! The stain on the wooden handle bleeds. I ruined a dish towel this way. Just wipe with damp cloth and dry with papertowel.

Such a simple thing. I saw a chef use one at the Culinary Institute of America when watching a cooking demonstration. I immediately knew it would be my next Amazon search. Thank you Amazon for having exactly what I was looking for! I use it every day. Especially helpful for picking up things like chopped spinach or lettuce, that tend to stick to the cutting board.

When my parents saw this on Masterchefs they both immediately wanted one. My mom thinks it's very handy when she remembers to use it. You can use it to pick up chopped/diced fruits and vegetables or separate dough.

This is a really handy, inexpensive tool to have around the kitchen. Saves me from dulling the edge of my knife when scooping up things to transfer to cookware, and it's great for diving up dough! Solidly build, and I like the aesthetics of the wood handle. Gets the job done, no-fuss.

I purchased the wooden version. It's attractive, and a good size. I use it mostly for scraping left over bread dough off my counter, and it works perfectly. I haven't tried putting it in the dishwasher; it never gets dirty enough to warrant more than a quick sponge. I don't feel sorry for the reviewers who put theirs in the dishwasher and saw bad results. If you're going to put your wooden utensils in the dishwasher, or leave them soaking in water, you should expect to destroy the finish. Wood is porous. Common sense, people.

Product is actually made in china, not Japan as listed. Had some weird stains on the handle as well

The metal was a bit scuffed up when i received it, but I seemed to have cleaned it off. Otherwise a nice scraper at a great price.
