Do i need to hook it to the drone to transmit the 5.8 signal or can i hook to my remote thats has a screen built in it to receive the signal

It would be tied in line with the controller and the antenna. This will ultimately boost the signal output between from the controller.

I have a dji phantom 4 pro, could i benefit from this? what about the 2.4 ghz model, or both?

I used (2) 2.4 GHz and (1) 5.8 GHz modules with an external battery to power them. Works great with my Phantom 3 Standard. Not sure about the Phantom 4 Pro.

What happens to the 2.4ghz signal coming from my dual band 2.4ghz/5g nic/ap?

I use the 5.8 to boost the signal to my Dji Phantom 2 Vision +, and I use a 2.4 to boost the signal to the camera.

Will this booster work with the Phantom 3 standard
