After a kitchen renovation I wanted a bin that was the right size but also looked as stylish as a bin can. I have used this bin for about 4 months now and am still happy with it. It's the perfect size for my small family and is very easy to change the bag on. I like the fact I can lift the inside compartment out and rest it on the bin while I put the new bag in. It's got a really nice brushed silver look so it blends in with my nice new kitchen, and the shape and size is perfect for where it sits. The foot pedal works well and it's good to not have to lift the lid with your hand, especially if you have both hands full. Overall this bin is great and seems of much better quality than you'd think for the price. Would definitely recommend!

The main reason for buying this bin was the outer casing is metal. Dad wanted a new bin to go between his cooker and the sink as space is a premium. He needed the metal type to deflect any heat residue from the cooker ( which was minimal) but it was reassuring for him. This bin fit the criteria exactly. The shape is very good and seems to fit a lot more waste than a round cylinder bin. The black inner bin is a doddle to lif out as it has hand holds either side to assist in lifting the inner out. The bin bags fit in great and even when full do not dissappear inside the bin, making removing the bin bag breeze. The brushed steel outer bin is smart looking as unlike a high polished look does not show finger print!!. It is sturdy but not to heaven that my 96 year old dad can't move it with ease. The peddle action is very smooth and it has a soft close lid. Yes, it did seem expensive compared to a plastic bin but you get what you pay for. Dad is chuffed to bits with this bin All in all a very good purchase and well deserves its 5 star rating that I gave it.

Ticks most of the boxes and what I was after, but the height was the main factor I sent this back. I wanted a bin to go under the kitchen sink, but unfortunately it a bit too tall as I can only lift the lid up manually by hand just a little bit. Shame! It's such a lovely bin I thought I could use it in the toilet instead, but it's too big, really need a 5 litre in there instead. If I ever need this size bin in the future I will definitely purchase this again. It's so easy to keep clean, better than the barbarita bin I kept instead. The barbarita bin was a bit shorter, with a manual wide lift opening,*opening from the front, underneath my kitchen sink, whereas the Amazon one opened from the side, from right to left sitting underneath my kitchen sink. The other downside to the barbarita bin that I kept was that the lid does not stay opened unlike the Amazon one. So if you can fit this size bin anywhere, I really recommend it, it's a beautiful, well made bin and easy to keep clean.

Love the look and shape of the bin. My precious bin - a Brabantia - was round and took up more space in my kitchen. It didn’t need to be replaced (even though it was over 10 years old) but as I was having a new kitchen fitted I didn’t feel I could keep the old bin! I love the look of this new bin it fits very neatly against an end unit. Only downside is - when I move it to clean/empty the 2 rubber feet pop off! I have to be quick to retrieve them before the dog pounces. Other than this little irritation it’s a great bin for a great price.

Good quality with nice pedal action, plenty of space for 'other rubbish', now that we have so many other bins for re-cycling

This bin stays nice and shiny. Its proportions are just right - narrow enough not to take up too much space in the kitchen, but deep enough to hold a week’s worth of rubbish. We did our research before purchasing and we definitely made the right choice. Our low point was trying a Josephjoseph ‘easy opening’ bin in John Lewis (£149), which declined to open, even with help from a shop assistant. So well done Amazon for this one.

I purchased this bin for my kitchen as I have a long narrow space to put it and this was ideal. While the bin is very sturdy and looks great, there is one flaw. The part under the pedal, that touches the floor, has a sandpaper texture to stop it from sliding around when the pedal is pressed. With continued use, this has damaged my floor, which is lino. I did not notice it to start with but now it is really bad. It looks like it can be wiped off or cleaned but I have tried everything and it is now permanent.

I am using beside my bed. It fits perfectly under my side table. Very well made and the aluminium finish looks great.

Lo compré porque el tamaño y las características parecían adecuadas, pero me sorprendió la calidad. Queda genial, la bolsa si la pones bien no se ve por fuera, es estable, el pedal funciona muy bien y la tapa se cierra despacio estupendamente. Vamos, estamos encantados con el producto y el precio.
