Review: I feel like *I'm* being taken care of for a change. - One year later: Still going strong. Very happy with my robo vac. I have another one and I named them after two of Taylor Swift's cats. 😁 Original: I actually LOVE this thing. I want to buy two more for the other levels in my home but for now, I just carry it to the other levels. I have never had someone else clean up after me. I am the one cleaning up after everyone else so this little robot vacuum actually makes me feel taken care of in a way. 🥰 I get to be surprised by the vacuum lines of a freshly cleaned room because I have the vacuum on a schedule to clean each morning. It's not loud. It wont fall down steps. It goes under furniture that wouldn't normally be cleaned so well during a regular vacuuming because you'd have to move furniture around but not with this little robo vacuum. It goes where the regular vacuum can't. I want to give it a name. I just love it. I've had mine for about a week. Hopefully it'll be a long lasting gadget. I'll try to remember to update if I have any trouble. One tip, with wifi, I had to program my router to have separate 2 and 5 ghz stations. You have to use the 2ghz to use the app with this but the app is not required. Not a big deal. If you have to do this, make sure to leave one station with the name and password unchanged so you don't have to reprogram all of your smart home devices. I just added a 5 to the name for the 5ghz and left the 2ghz name unchanged. Review: Quiet, reliable and useful!! - If you've never owned a robot vacuum and are considering one, there are a few things you have to keep in mind. First and foremost, it will not replace a traditional vacuum or stick/handheld vacuum for hard to reach places or obviously replace having to move furniture on occasions to vacuum underneath. Robot vacuums are for general everyday use to get your main living areas and are especially helpful if you have pets in getting hair. Also you obviously have to have it in a plain sight, with some room. The charging base generally needs about 3 feet on each side to ensure smooth departures and returns. I’m really glad I got this robot vacuum it does the work I don’t want to do. Comparatively good price and really good performance! The pros for this vacuum include the suction, noise level, run time, charge, easy to clean dust bin and app control. It also fits under most furniture and removes all the hair from both carpet and tile floor. Cons are that you still have to make sure to pick up larger pieces of debris from the floor and the other thing is that this bot struggles going from tile to bathroom rug but I guess it’s an issue with most robovacs. Overall, I’m quite happy with this unit. It’s easy to use and does a good job vacuuming. It’s also reasonably priced.

Not perfect, but a Great Tool
I am a person that reads reviews on everything I buy, but very seldom write one. This vacuum after two weeks has changed my view on robotic vacuums. If you are looking for perfection, probably not the right unit for you. If you are looking for a tool to help you with daily maintenance, here you go. We have a farm house with open floor plan and 90% laminate hardwood. Numerous rugs with varying pile thickness from flat rubber to shag. The unit does great on shorter rugs, but struggles with shag, we did not intend to have it clean this, but on occasion it does get on the rug and does a nice job. It will get stuck on the shag rug. The main reason we purchased a robotic vacuum was to help with the dog hair on the hard floors from our Golden Retriever. It does a fantastic job with this! We used to use a Norwex dry mop every-night to keep the floor clean, have not had it out since the vacuum arrived. Two points that have really impressed us about the are the ease of use with only the remote control, and the consequent elimination of dust on the furniture. Example of the TV stand, you could write your name in the dust every week because of all of the particles in the air from sweeping, this is no longer the case. The four star rating is because of two reasons. First is this is a lower priced unit that does not have mapping capabilities. I knew this going into the purchase, but for the first attempt, the price outweighed this option. Secondly the dust receptacle is not easy to clean out. There is a screen under the Large filter door, that if could be removed, would make this task much easier. The dust receptacle is quite large and will normally hold a whole cleaning cycle ( after first couple of cleanings!!) From previous reviews it is quite erratic on its path of cleaning as well, but it does go back and complete the whole area after a recharge. For the money, and what we use it for, good value and machine.

Cleans effortlessly and effectively
This is my first time owning a robot vacuum cleaner and I LOVE it! I have been using the Robot Vacuum for a week now and can now say that it is extremely easy to setup and cleans the floor surprisingly very well. It does a better job than I can at times. It saves me a lot of time out of my day so I can focus on other things, like my 2 active toddlers. Cleans very well under furniture, which is a life saver, because it can be challenging at times with my standup vacuum cleaner when it comes to spaces underneath my tv stand and dishware cabinet. Super easy to use: charge my Robot Vacuum and set my timer on the remote control and let it roam around the house for a couple of house and “poof” my floor and carpet is cleaned to my husband’s satisfaction. Surprisingly, my husband and kids love the Robot Vacuum more than I had initially thought. Cleaning out the Robot Vacuum is a breeze. With a touch of a button to release the trash bin and open the bin’s door over the trash can, and I am done. I don’t have the need to setup the Wi-Fi on my cell or Alexa but is an option for those who wish to link it up to your phone and/or Google/Alexa. I recommend this Robot Vacuum to everyone who is looking for an effortless but cleans effectively. Guess who's mom will be getting a Robot Vacuum this year? ;)

I like how thin it is.
I chose this vacuum because it had a thin profile. I have a roomba but it doesn't fit under the couch and this one does. I now use the roomba upstairs and this one downstairs. Another thing I like about this is you can have it do just edges. I find this very handy. It has 2 spinning side brushes vs roomba that only has one. So it doesn't matter the direction it has the spinning side brush to help clean up. I got the Alexa app to work then it stopped working after a week. Not sure why but this wasn't important to me because I set a timer and it goes off at 1am every night. I've had this 8 months now and noticed it got loud. Hubby looked at it and found it is the bearing on one end of the roller. He oiled it up and it was a little better but still loud. I contacted the seller with what we found and he very quickly got back to me and sent another roller. I've seen a couple people saying the seller never got back but maybe the response went in their junk mail? IDK, but my experience with this seller was excellent and I would buy from them again and I do recommend the Bagotte vacuum

Guarantee is a complete scam, buyer beware!!
DO NOT BUY!! This vacuum worked well for five months, but after that it stopped connecting to WiFi, no matter how much troubleshooting we did. I emailed the company’s support email as instructed to see if we could have a tech reach out and help us fix it. While waiting for the company to reply to my first email (we gave them extra time to reply due to Covid), the vacuum started making a lot of loud noise anytime it was on hard surfaces. I submitted another follow up email explaining the issue and asking for help troubleshooting, still no reply. I also submitted a warranty claim through their website per Amazon suggestion as the listing states the vacuum has a 12 month guarantee, with no response. I’ve also called them multiple times, and submitted a message through Amazon messaging service. Because Amazon only guarantees purchases for 30 days after purchase, they could not help me. To this day, Bagotte has never responded to any of my emails, messages or my warranty claim as submitted. The guarantee they have listed is a complete scam as they don’t respond. I was encouraged by an Amazon representative to leave a review and warn other buyers so that’s what I’m doing. Don’t waste your $250 on this like I did!!

Beware!
Read many reviews before my purchase of this model (BG700). First off: the Alexa integration is horrible! For those with trouble setting up, the Bogotte app isn’t really needed as you need the Smart Life app installed (and register account before linking). Once you sign into Smart Life and link your robot you need to go to Alexa app to enable the Smart Life (house logo, not the other “Smartlife” skill) skill. It will ask you to log in with your Smart Life account and then add device on the Alexa app. If once all this is done and your robot isn’t working you need to disable the skill in Alexa app, re-enable and re-log in to your Smart Life account. **keep in mind since Smart Life is the Alexa skill, after adding device through Alexa and renaming he robot (default name BG700), you cannot ask Alexa to “ask Smart Life to start cleaning” as it may suggest, as “start cleaning” isn’t defaulted to the robot device. For example, if your device name in Alexa is BG700, you need to say “Alexa, ask Smart Life to start BG700”. This is entirely stupid though imo and wastes so much time you might as well just work with your remote or operate via the actual Smart Life app. Now for the product itself.. frankly I’m a little disappointed because no matter which mode you’re in, the robot just kinda goes all over the place. It sweeps okay but doesn’t have great suction, which is a problem if, like me, you have limited space where your wooden floor meets your rugs. When the robot goes from one surface to the other (mind you I have very thin rugs), it just doesn’t suck up too much of anything and leaves a trail of pieces of dust around the area, which I then have to manually pick up with some paper towel. They came out with BG800 and maybe an even newer model too, which has mapping features but there are mixed reviews for them as well. Waiting for a really amazing robot cleaner to upgrade to when the time comes.

Replacement unit gets the job done
When I first received the product, I gave it a 1 Star since it did not work out of the box. The BG700 initially started working fine, but within the first ~10mins the unit would spin in a circle in fairly open space before giving a “Bumper is fault” error, which I duplicated a couple times on day 1. I contacted Bagotte customer service who provided me with a replacement unit. The 5 stars noted above is based on the replacement unit, which works really well. I use this unit on the main floor of our house which covers ~1200sq that includes a Living room/Dining room with 1inch texture/shag carpet, Foyer/Hallway/Kitchen with parquet wood floors and several rugs, Family room with 1inch texture/shag carpet and a Den with Berber style carpet. It does well on Auto mod covering all the above. We have a dog (part Siberian husky) that sheds a lot. So, we needed to empty the dust bin prior to the vacuum covering the entire area noted above on full suction (when the dust bin fills with debris, the unit reduces the suction level automatically). Now that we used it a couple times, it covers the area above on full suction. I’ve connected this unit to Alexa without issue.
