All Of This And Nothing

The Furs' music is timeless. The melodies are haunting, the lyrics are smart, the music is moody, and the vocals are piercing. Sonically, they are a delicious swirl, somewhere between The Sister's of Mercy and The Simple Minds -- a bit rough and smooth all at the same time. True, I'm not the biggest Furs fan in the world, but I do know good music when I hear it. Indeed, this is a superb collection of songs for driving around or for chilling on rainy days at home.Anyways, this is the best overview cd of their career although there were still two more fine records after this. This is a classy restrospective with a great album cover too. Yes, this is authentic old school 80s alternative at its best!By the way, I saw these guys live two years ago and they still got it! They were never that poppy so I think they seem less cheesy than some of their other contemparies these days who also still tour. Let that be a lesson to everyone. Write mature music when a band is younger so they can grow into it effectively as they become older.

If you were around in the '80s and liked pop rock, this CD will bring back memories...I especially love "Heaven," "The Ghost in You," and "Love My Way." Richard Butler and his brother formed a new Band called "Love Spit Love" in the 2000s, but their current music doesn't top this.

Great cd

Never really being a Psychodelic Furs fan back in the day, I was reluctant to purchase this CD. After receiving it and listening to it, I realized that my tastes have evolved since my teenage years. I now have an entirely new appreciation for the Psychodelic Furs and this CD in particular. The music is deep, rich, and moving - what music should be.

Great CD and easy to listen to.

The delivery time was fine, but the case was cracked so much that i had to install the disc in another case. This could well be the delivery person's fault rather than the seller.

Very good & talented the old ones are nearly always the best

Es una de las recopilaciones que cuando menos cumplen con una premisa:La música contenida abarca tanto tiempo que cuando uno termina de escucharla, se pregunta cómo es que el sonido no cambia de manera radical… ¡Simple!. Es de esas recopilaciones hechas con cuidado. Aparte de todo, tiene dos canciones que para quienes no son completistas, sólo aquí aparecieron primero (luego aparecieron en un buen de otras recopilaciones no tan esenciales).

Whilst i liked them at the time, i bought this cd on the strength of that but it really hasn't aged that well. The production is very eighties(big drums etc) and quite honestly the songs are just not as good as remembered.
