Nick Relief Styptic Powder * 6 - Vials

This product works great! I read several reviews from Amazon customers and decided to give it a try. My husband is on blood thinners so just a bump can start a bleed. This stops the flow immediately. Afterwards we cover the area with a bandaid or bandage to keep it clean and protected.

Got this last summer after my husband had open heart surgery. His doctor suggested we keep this on hand since he was on blood thinning meds. I tucked it away and, frankly, forgot about it until we really needed it last week. Hubby skinned his arm tripping into the corner of a cabinet. We couldn't control the bleeding with pressure alone, and I suddenly remembered this stuff in the first aid kit. I sprinkled a liberal amount over the wound and then pressure bandaged it again. It worked! For a 2+ inch by 1 inch wound I used about 1/4 of a vial, which may have been too much in hindsight, but it was hard to tell with all the blood. I'll never be without this again. Highly recommend for those on blood thinners, but please LEARN TO USE IT before you need it--dont' be like me. :)

So far it worked pretty good i like it comes in small packages and you can put some in the garage some in your car some in your purse i used it on something for me and it worked fine

If you bleed easily, this is a must for you to have with you all the time.

Years ago my barber gave me a vial of this stuff. A very little bit goes a long way. I just dip a slightly damp fingertip into the top of the vial and use whatever sticks to dab onto the cut. It really doesn't take much for even the worst shaving cuts. I used that vial for years before misplacing it somewhere. I ordered six vials then just in case, and some years later I ordered six more. No, not because I'm like Dan Aykroyd's version of Julia Child, but because I keep giving my vials away to others. I've never used this for something like a finger cut, but I don't see why it wouldn't work just as well for that. I've put a vial into my first aid kit just in case. The only reason I gave this four stars is because it does stain cloth and my porcelain sink. Bar Keepers Friend will take care of the sink. Stains on cloth may be permanent.

Was skeptical about this as similar to other products like sticks, etc. I have low platelets and thin outer skin (72 years old) and been a bleeding problem for years. Not talking about major cuts, but just any sort of damage to skin that causes small but continual bleeding. I have investigated for years how to at least slow down the bleed til can put on band aid or whatever, but still bleeds under the band aide. Put a little of this as described in info or sprinkle on cut, and stops it almost immediately. And put band aid on top of it for added protection against things like bleeding on sheets in bed, etc. Showed a friend this today as we were comparing our "condition" and he had a cut he had stopped earlier, but just touching it started again. Gave him a vial (I carry it everywhere) and he put some on it and completely stopped!!! Like me, had tried about everything. Left it with him and told him where to get. have done for several people and all are amazed. Not once again, this is NOT for a major cut, but these nuisance bleeds can be taken of when needed. IT WORKS!!!!!!! UPDATE… have ordered 8 times and friends maybe hundreds!!! THIS REALLY WORKS. I bleed easily and have low platelets, thin skin from years of chemical engineering hands on ……. so a real help.

if you take blood thinners its hard to stop bleeding even of a small nick.this helps i carry some in my purse or pocket just in case

You think corn starch was good?,wait this thing is insane,ive cut myself twice and ive put the powder on the cut. Its instant you feel nothing ,just your blood clotting instantly. I am amaze great product
