This box is extremely versatile in what it can do. I think the biggest downside is that it's full potential would not be utilised by the average user. I've had it for almost a month now and feel like I still haven't scratched the surface, which is a really good thing (but maybe not for someone who just wants a plug and play device). I would recommend installing the Pure2 image and using the Estuary skin. It is a stunning, lighting fast and intuitive interface. Once you have selected your favorite image you can use the Webif function through a browser to fine tune the settings and channels to your liking including installation of plugins, adjusting the order of channels and even viewing channels remotely from your PC. One downside is that the controller signal is quite weak meaning you have to point it directly at the set top box for it to work. Unusual for what is an otherwise perfect remote in terms of button layout, size and feel. Another downside for me is that the terrestrial connection only has a single tuner meaning you may not be able to view and record different channels. Having said that, for the price you are getting an extremely versatile 4K box with no limit to what it can do.

I am not a techie, so I do not have 20years experience of Linux and Linux derivatives ie Enigma 2. So the set up wizard was a great help, and the user manual. And I got help from the seller. But I still have two unresolved problems. I can't get You Tube - there are two YouTube plugins on the box, neither work. I want an internet browser eg Firefox , which would solve my Youtube problem,so far I have failed to set it up. But once setup this box is brilliant, sound and picture - both excellent. Now the box has locked.It loads, then shows the channel for 10 seconds,then says it " apolgies, but there is a problem with the software, we have to restart ", then it starts all over again.I have written to the seller some time ago, but have had no response so far 12/07/2020 . So I am left with an unusable STB. So rather than have a non working STB, I took it to my nearest tech shop. They could'nt get it to "flash" ie reload the O/S.So they installed an alternative - Open PLi - Release 7.2 - available from 30/06/2020, and supports ZGemma H7s. It is decribed as stable & suitable for use by a non-techie. It is more functional than OpenATV 6.0. which dates back to 2017. Paul Roche

This set top box came with Openatv 6.0. It took quite a while to set up as I was new to Enigma 2. That didn't bother me as I knew it would be the case. Unfortunately the picture froze continually. I tried various different images: Openvix, Openatv 6.4 with Wooshbuild, Openatv 6.3. I tried various configurations. I tried very few plugins and never tried IPTV or cams. Very soon I turned off time shift. Initially I used an external HDD, then I tried an internal HDD. It froze when recording so I stopped trying to record but it continued to freeze. I stopped egm from updating automatically as this appeared to be the cause of one freeze. I moved egm from flash to hdd and back to no avail. At times it froze while in standby but mostly while just watching. The picture froze but the sound continued. Once this happened the remote control was no use and I had to press the button at the rear of the unit. I've returned the box but I'm going to try a different brand as I still think the Linux boxes could be wonderful if they work. In fairness to Amazon, the returns process was quite painless and I should get my money back.

The motor works with a Sky two socket Lnb which uses less current. Before discovering this I nearly returned the Technomate DiSEgc H H positioning motor mistakenly believing it to be the problem.

The user guide the worst ever come across ,being a novice unable to read the pictures in the instructions and was unable to follow installation guide.returning for refund.
