It's all about Thrust Control.
It is a caulk gun. It pushes caulk. The handle is steel, the action is smooth, and the cartridges fit like they should. If you forget to adjust the thrust, you will drip from the tip. Once that starts, it will not stop. You can wipe, you can shake, you can curse. Nothing helps. Just a mess. Set the thrust correctly and it behaves. Clean lines, no surprises, no shame. Ignore it and you will learn why the option is there. certainly the best caulk gun I've owned, and I've seen a lot of caulk in my time...all-powerful deity willing, this is the last.

Solidly made and easy on the hands
I've tried out several types of these, and this is the easiest to use so far. The gears make it easy to push stiffer materials out and the rotating barrel also is nice to keep the tip the direction you want. It took a couple of times to get the knack of releasing the pressure to not get continued dribble, but it wasn't too hard to do once I caught on. I may have to get a spare in case someone "borrows" this and it doesn't make it back to my area.

Best caulk gun ever
Don't do what I did and by the cheap caulk gun and use it for years. By this one! It will save your elbows and your hands. By far the best caulk gun

So much easier to squeeze.
EASY OF USE So much easier to squeeze than my other caulk guns. If used with normal to low viscosity (thinner) products it only takes a light touch to use. With high viscosity (thick) products, the effort to use is similar to the effort it would take to use a gun you'd find at a big box store and normal to low viscosity product. FLOW STOP I find a little product comes out after releasing the trigger. So if you want the flow to stop completely you need to trip the release. I think this is actually a plus. If I want it to stop I just press the release with my thumb and it's off, easy to do. What I like is how this little flow of product is beneficial when I need to release the trigger, during application, to get my hand back to the starting (open) position—the slight flow combined with the slight pause it takes to open your hand makes applying product more seamless (even). QUALITY This thing is built tough, should last for a long time (I Hope, you just never known). It's even visually appealing. In conclusion I am very pleased with the SolidWork Professional Hand Caulking Gun with 26:1Caulk Gun.

operates like a charm and well made
I would have given this gun a five star rating, for it operates that well, but the puncture tool (nail) is only three and one half inches long, so i have to use another gun's puncture tool (or a piece of wire) to punch through the foil inside a tube of caulk, if need to just cut off the very end of a caulk tube's nozzle, so i get the thin bead I want for interior caulking. All my other caulk guns are made with four inch puncture tools. This gun does not have a cut off hole for tips, but that does not bother me because I prefer to use my utility knife for that job. This gun's ease of use and pressure accuracy make it a joy to use. It is definitely the gun to use for adhesive applications where a broad tip is called for, and you want the dispensing to be easy.

Game changer!
I am caulking an entire house using a thick clear caulk. My 8 :1 caulking gun required all of my hand strength and was very slow. My new SolidWork gun is absolutely a pleasure to use, requiring only one finger (or thumb) to squeeze the handle. I am able to accomplish 10 times the work and my hands don't ache anymore. The gun is very well made and very solid. Regarding some of the negative comments: It doesn't have a tube tip cutter like the cheap guns because of the handle design, no big deal. You will need to press the release lever to stop the flow of caulking, it doesn't automatically stop like some guns. No big deal. I love this caulking gun and I wish I would have known about it a long time ago. 24 :1 is a huge improvement for thick caulk. I probably won't use it for latex caulk or other thin caulking because the gun would probably dispense way too fast.

High quality caulk gun.
You get what you pay for. This is a great caulk gun compared to the other $10 guns you can buy at the big box stores. Highly recommended.

Not dripless, got more caulk out of the back than the front
I've done tons of caulking and remodeled several homes caulking every base board and molding line for the whole house. This gun, I've only tried on 1 tube. The action is smooth and this is a solid built tool. However, the lack of dripless makes it irritating to use. I have to keep finding the release button and pushing it to stop the flow. The gun is very powerful, I guess I put too much pressure on my tube of silicone and had a large blow-out behind the plunger. This is not easy to clean out. The rotating cover is always in the way and I could not see a way to remove it for cleaning. It was a brand new tube of GE silicone caulk I had bought the same day I used the gun. Maybe it was a fluke. I've had blow-out on other guns, some without a cover are easier to clean. The puncture needle was plenty long for my standard GE caulk tube. I didn't mind that there is no cutter on the gun. I always use a knife to get an accurate tip. Most of the gun cutters are crude and leave a nasty burr on the tip. There is no way to sharpen them. Overall a solid built gun, not the easiest to use and hard to clean. It did not make my caulking any better than other guns I have. Cheaper ones with an auto stop feature are better at controlling the mess. The largest improvement I've made is to line the caulk edge with painters tape. Then I can be messy, smooth the joint with a finger and pull up the tape to make the most beautiful caulk joint I've ever seen. It looks machine made.

ESTUPENDO EMPUJE Y EXCELENTE CALIDAD
Está tan bien terminada que me da miedo usarla y que se vaya a raspar o caer, probé y compare con otras pistolas y si es notaria la diferencia en el empuje, realmente bien!.
