Been using this for about a year. It works great.
Update Developed a leak around the top where the lid screws on. It was close to the seam down the tank. Others have had similar issues. I clean the tank then put a flashlight inside and pointed the beam around the lid so I couls see the little holesl.. Then I used my secret weapon for leaks and repairs. JB WELD. It is amazing stuff. Even patched a leak on copper once that has yet to fail. So spread a nice bead along the rim before the threads and verified no light shining through. Then I put some on the inside in the same area to add more reinforcement. Let it dry a few days. Hooked it back up.. No more leak. I will let you know if it does not hold, but I am sure it will. JB WELD rules.! Been using this for about a year. It works great. Mine is outside of the pond for ease of cleaning. I have something hiding it. On the intake and output I used Teflon tape on the threads then screwed the inside connector so no drip . I was generous with the tape especially up where it meets the pump filter housing. I recommend this filter. Be careful feeding the tube through the two inside filters. A few times I scrap a little skin on the inside lip of the pump. The inside lip at the top is scrap. I might try smoothing it with sand paper.

Great for Turtle Ponds!!!
Awesome Pond filter, it works really well, it keeps my turtle pond clean and all of the turtles are happy and healthy. A little tricky to clean due to smaller opening, but overall does exactly what I purchased it for. Very cost effective!

Works Great, Had Some Leakage.
Like others mentioned, it can leak if not tightened down correct. Watch my video to see how to prevent this. Ir does a great job cleaning my pond. I did add a muslin bag filled with activated carbon and ammonia remover. It sits in the bottom and helps purify the water. For extra fine filtering, you can add a layer of cheese cloth between the two filter pads. If your pump has a filter of it's own, that pump filter will do 90% of the filtering. I just opened my canister to clean it, and it was barely dirty. The small filter around my pump was clogged. So keep this in mind. One way fo reduce leaking is to use a pump where you can adjust the water flow, hence water pressure in the filter. Another way is to use teflon tape on the threads, or even silicone adhesive as you will not need to dismantle the intake and outlet connectors.

Just what I needed
I have a 250 gallon stock tank pond. I've had a small 300gph filter since I installed my pond a few years ago. Recently ive had alge and clarity issues. I figured that the current filter I have just wasn't enough since I've been adding more fish and plants. I didnt want to keep using algecides and constantly rinsing my current filter media more than necessary. I decided to upgrade to a bigger filter. This one was just what I needed. My pond was crystal clear in less than 24 hours. The current 300gph pump is working great with this filter despite the recommended pump size. It was very easy to assemble, just don't over tighten the gaskets. I haven't had any leakage, I installed it outside of my pond to avoid taking up too much space, and have checked it daily since putting it into use. It's well built and the uv light will help control unwanted algae growth. Very happy with this purchase.

Very insecure tube inlet and outlet
This started a very bad leak in the tubing outlet after one year due to the insecure attachment at tubing outlet and I almost lost all my fish. It is also very hard to clean the sponge filters unless you cut the filters; otherwise you have to remove the tubing just to clean it. I could never tell if the UV light was working either because the lense to see it is very bad quality. It was my first pump when I bought it so I did not know any better. After this broke, I bought the VivoHome pump to go with this and it has much better tubing attachments so I also bought the VivoHome filter and it is hands down way better and it costs the same. VivoHome filter has secure tubing attachments, you can easily tell that the UV filter works and it is much easier to clean the filters.

I am amazed how quickly this filter cleaned up a 300 gal stock tank garden pond!
Last year I set up a 300 gallon stock tank garden pond with 5 goldfish. I am new to water gardening but I did a lot of reading prior to set up. I have several plants including water lilies, iris, pickerel rush and hornwort for oxygenators. Original set up was late last summer and my water quality was good all last season. I use a 300 GPH pump and circulate through an old hand pump head and then cascade over some rocks to reenter the pond. My fish wintered over fine and most plants survived the winter as well. Mid spring there was an algae bloom in the pond and several articles I read said to just let the pond push through it and in a couple of weeks it should clean up. I added some floating plants to help reduce nitrates and the water just kept getting greener. I decided to explore filtration and came upon the Total Pond complete pond filter. I was a little apprehensive with the complaints about leaks and UV light not working. The UV light will not turn on if it is not installed in the turbe which I am sure is a safety feature. No leaks so far and at the beginning of day three my pond water has only a very slight green tint and the pond looks amazing! Installing the hose barb fittings is a little tricky to get them tight enough to seal but a couple of common tools and I was successful. Remember parts are plastic so over tightening could cause damage. I am expecting that by day four or five my pond water will be crystal clear. Also know that a UV light will not eliminate the algae that grows on pond structures. UV is a contact kill for the one cell algae that is in the water. There is no residual effect on algae after it leaves the filter. I am very pleased with the results the product provided in my pond.

Bought 2 both leaked from threads.
I purchased 2 of these filters. First one lasted 2 seasons when the plastic cracked underneath the threaded part holding down the lid. Bought a replacement thinking I was just tightening the lid too much. This one only last one season again cracking underneath the threads. I never over tightened the lid so I am certain this is a manufacturing flaw. Otherwise the filter worked well but did require a lot of filter media cleaning. Going to try Pond Guy filter now.

the Hydrofarm AAPW100-GPH and it works like a charm
This filter cleared up my water garden as never before. Until this, I was using a smaller filter that contained a pump as well and I had to change the filter every day and the water was still very murky. I bought this in combination with a separate pump, the Hydrofarm AAPW100-GPH and it works like a charm. Water is now crystal clear

Quality filter
I’ve had this filter for about 4 years, have it in ground with a board and artificial turf on it year round; just this year replaced foam filters and has worked flawlessly for me so far and keeps my 600 pond clean with weekly cleaning during summer months with the help of water plants. Only have 3 big koi in it but they eat like pigs 3 times a day.
