Neato! 41-Piece Pick-Up Sticks Game

I attended my grandson’s grandparents’ day. Jacks and pick up sticks were brought up in a game we played regarding what grandparents played with as children. As a result I looked for, and found, both games on Amazon. My grandchildren enjoyed playing. They were all surprised at how much skill is required to play peach game. Both are GREAT games for eye-hand coordination. The quality of the sticks are very good, smooth wood. They are the standard size sticks. I like there’s a box to store them. My twin grandsons are 10 years old.

Remember this game-now I’m dating my age-lol! This is a great set as the box is fully wooden and the sticks are made out of good quality plastic. I purchased their set for my grandchildren and they loved learning how to play this simple game that tests your mobility skills! A great and fun value.

Very fun and easy game for parents and kids. I would buy this product again!

Ah, good memories come to life as my family plays this game once again and it is still just as fun! All pieces were there and it seems well made.

I bought this for my nephew and nieces and they all loved the game. They are ages 12, 7 and 6. It was a big hit and I'm so happy to have found this classic game. The first time we played this game my 7 year old niece was having trouble picking up the sticks without moving the others. However, overnight she practiced while her brother an sister were sleeping, and she plays better than the rest. I thought that was so cute that the game was so interesting to her that she practiced. 2 notes however: 1. Sticks are not as bright as the picture shown. 2. Sticks came in a wooden box, not the clear tube on the picture. The sticks are actually faded looking but not bad, it's almost looks like a vintage toy. The wooden box also gives it the vintage look. I actually like it better. Good quality overall..and under $6.00 for a game is a bargain compared to those expensive games out there. My nephew had just as much fun compared to his video games.

If you're used to playing the game with plastic pick-up sticks the wooden Toysmith version will take a bit of adjustment on your part. Toysmith's 41 piece set is nothing more than wooden painted dowels about two times the width of the plastic sticks. The wooden sticks appear uniform to the eye but once they're dropped into the playing pile you'll notice that they hesitate and sit a bit awkward on top of one another. Also, on a color note,the black stick is a little difficult to discern from the dark blue stick which makes for a bit of confusion some times. All in all, the sticks do just fine for average game play and can occupy the time of even the pickiest computer obsessed kid.

It's nice that these sticks are wooden and not plastic. My grandkids are loving them.

Arrived and was exactly as described. I gave this as a present to a 6 year old granddaughter and almost immediately she and her 8 and 10 year old siblings and I were playing game after game.

I played with these as a child, so I bought them for my grandchildren. They were soon intrigued by them and caught on what to do. The best thing about these OLD GAMES is that it helps a child's brain coordination. They are far better for them than playing computer games. Plus, these games give interaction between children they know in a home situation instead of those people they don't know who are on computer games. I am a retired registered nurse/counselor and understand the value of encouraging. valuable learning.

Still a challenge that brings people together and have fun!
