Easy to use
The bike frame adapter works great and how easy it is to use. I received it quickly as well.

Great Product
After two times trying to transport my new step through style bike without an adapter, I knew I had to get some sort of adapter. Due to local road conditions most of my riding is at parks - and I need to get the bike there somehow. 20+ minutes fighting to attach the bike to the car was not going to work.I picked this adapter due to the great reviews on Amazon. All the reviews are correct. This item is easy to use (only takes a few seconds to attach), sturdy, and does the job well. I can now just hang the bike on the bike rack the way the rack was designed to be used. I am so SO glad I got this. Worth every penny I paid for it (which was less than some of the other options).

Functional and easy to use
Great product - the one at the bike shop was 36$ and I got two of these for 25$ each instead, had them shipped via Prime, and was installing them on the new bikes 3 days later. They are uncomplicated, sturdy little adapters. If you have a woman's bike with a step through and you want to put ride with the bike on a suspended bike rack, these make the bike hang evenly. My only question, which would be with any brand of adapter, is I guess the adapter is only as good as your seat latch is strong. Since it sits under the seat and the weight of the rear of the bike is basically on this bar, which is pushing up under the bike seat, I couldn't help but wonder if the seat latch on the post was going to give way on my 7 year old Giant Citizen. It didn't, obviously, or I would be writing a different review! Just something to consider. If anyone knows of a modification, please post it here. Good product for the money, certainly!

Did What It Is Supposed to Do
It fit perfectly on my ebike and allows the bike to be attached to my car's bike rack. I've had it for over 2 years now, and it is working as it did on day 1. A good buy for me.

Works well, makes it easier to carry bike with an angled frame
So far so good! I use this bar adapter on my "ladies" Trek bike, which makes it easier to hang two bikes on my hitch-mount rack. Prior to this, attempting to get my bike (with the girly angled frame) and my boyfriend's bike (with the manly horizontal frame) onto my Yakima rack was a pain in the ***, they just wouldn't fit well and the handle bars from my bike would be jammed into the tire on his bike. This little gadget has made it much easier to bring both bikes with us on trips around our part of the state to check out local parks.I like the locking mechanisms on the "hooks", they seems pretty sturdy. If I were to use it on a very long car trip, I would probably want to rig up some redundancy using bungee cords just in case.

Great Adaptor,worth more
My wife and I have a Toyota Prius and took up bicycle riding after my retiring. Hollywood provided a perfect fitting bike rack but to my dismay I couldn't figure out how to get my wife's "girl" bike securely on the rack. She checked different web sites and we found that adding a bar to the bike making it look like a "boy's" bike would allow it to be mounted on the rack securely. This rack is so simple to attach and remove once we're to our driven destination. Because the bikes fit so closely to the cars body I didn't want any movement which may scratch the cars paint, the bar fits so great on the bike and into the rack that it does not move at all during driving. It's a great invention and well worth the price which I paid of $34.00 S&H included, the price on AMAZON is fantastic.

Mounts in seconds. No more pinched fingers.
This product does exactly what it is supposed to. It is well built and easy to use. It works very well with 2 women's bikes that we have that have very large down tubes. Bikes that were previously difficult to mount on a bike rack can now be mounted in just a few minutes. The jaw release / closure mechanism works easily and closes securely. Take 5 seconds to attachรฉ the "Sparehand Bike Frame Adaptor" and then proceed to mount bike on your bike rack with the same method you would use to mount a man's bike.I was a little hesitant on the price, but now I am happy to have made the purchase. I will probably buy a second one for another bike. One note of caution. Not that I had a problem, but it would be wise to make sure both the seat (and seat post) and the handlebars (and handlebar post) are tightened securely. The weight of the bike suspends from these two points when the bike is mounted to a bike rack using the "Sparehand Bike Frame Adaptor."

Works well even though it was a little big for my bike.
I bought this to use with a women's Schwinn touring bike. The bike frame is small, but I am not sure of the exact size (I am 5'1"). This bar, at first glance, was too long. Yes, it fit around the seat post and the head tube, but there was extra room and I was worried that it would be a problem in terms of sliding when the car was moving. Using a Saris Bones bike rack we attached my bike to the rack using this bar. Once the bike was in place, it was stable. There was no movement, scratching of the paint, or any other negative outcome. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star review is that this is the first time we have used it. It looks like it is a well made product, it is easy to use, and it was delivered post-haste. Don't be totally dissuaded when you read negative reviews about these bars for women's bikes. Even if it had been a little big and not stable I could have come up with an innovation to take up the slack. I fully recommend this product and hope you are happy with it! On the photos you can see the black bar on the bike, the clamp around the seat post and the clamp around the head tube. Happy biking!

Works really well
Even though it says not to, I used this on my bike carrier and took it on the highway. It's sturdy, clamps well and does the job it's meant to do. I thought it was a bit pricey which is why I knocked off a star in the "value for money" category.
