Best Bang for Your Buck!
I was a bit skeptical about this head unit since it is priced so low. After doing a bit of research (reading and watching video reviews), it appeared that this unit was indeed a decent performer. I have installed the head unit in my 1997 Jeep Wrangler as the original radio finally met it's end. Since it is without a top and doors at times, I didn't want to purchase a top of the line replacement only for it to possibly get stolen. So, I stumbled upon the Blaupunkt Toronto and with it's price, I have nothing to lose other than the cost of a fast-food meal if it decides to grow legs and walk away. The installation was a breeze and the unit works flawlessly! I was beyond amazed at the difference in sound clarity from my existing speakers. I can only imagine how much better it would be if I upgraded to some quality speakers. The operation of the head unit is simple and easy to use. The included remote works as it should and the bluetooth connection is lightning fast! Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a quality head unit that is budget friendly.

(Updated) Great little media player on a budget. (Updated)
********Just like many other reviewers have experienced, the LCD display has stopped working. Without a functional LCD display the unit is worthless. Don't purchase this poorly made product or get the extended warranty as you will need to use it. Just junk.********* The Toronto was installed in a 86' VW Golf without issue. The instructions are limited, but just follow the color coding. Bluetooth to an iPhone 6s works great, but the built in microphone lacks quality. The imbedded microphone gets the job done for hands free, but often I'm told the call quality is poor. The wattage on the little amp is plenty for the tiny speakers installed in the car. The front USB port does not play nice with my iPhone (will charge but disrupts bluetooth and otherwise won't play anything other than radio), so plan to use the rear USB port for charging and connect via bluetooth. Haven't tried a MicroSD or front USB for MP3 playback. The display can be difficult to read in sunlight, but is otherwise great in lower light conditions. Overall, I'm very pleased with the unit and would buy again.

Outstanding value and features, just don't make phone calls while driving
*Don't let the low wattage fool you, the sound quality is very adequate. If you want high power, you'd be looking to add an amplifier anyway. Leave it set to mono for a little extra power output though. *Bluetooth connections are solid and my phone instantly pairs every time. *I use the rear USB as my phone charge port by routing a USB extension cord to it and hiding it in my glove box or I'll let it hang out. *It's simple, elegant, and isn't blindingly bright when driving at night. *The remote is cheap but effective... And at that price, who could complain?! It's got a remote and it's a $20 mechless radio for crying out loud! It does everything you need it to do. *The microphone is utterly worthless for conversations while driving, don't bother. That's not to say you'll do any better with any other built-in mic though, so you're not really losing anything, you're going to want to look into a radio with a mic that you can mount above the driver if this is a big feature for you. If you're looking for a simple Bluetooth radio for your car, look no further.

Decent solution if you set your expectations correctly.
I have multiple cars with better stereos, but I bought this for my Miata based primarily on two factors: it looks like a stock unit, and it's cheap enough to not really care about. The combination of these resulting in (a) the low likelihood of it attracting any attention from thieves and (b) even if it does get stolen, I'm out about $12. And who would want it anyways? I leave my car parked in front of my house with the top down most nights, and I hardly ever put up my windows or latch the top when I park it in public and it hasn't attracted any attention (if someone wants something from the car, I'd rather they just take it than slash my vinyl top). For me, those two pros outweigh all of the cons (which are honestly most other aspects of the head unit). Sound quality: I wouldn't say it's bad. It's totally fine for what it is and it gets the job done. But in any non convertible car I'd probably be dissatisfied with it. In my case, as long as it isn't snowing or raining, I have the top down so I know I can't expect much here. Still, it doesn't get incredibly loud (I can barely hear it if I drive on the highway - which is rare so not really a big deal for me) and the last few clicks of the volume knob are nearly useless due to distortion. Around town though, it gets the job done just fine. I'm sure even a cheap amp would totally fix this. Now for the main issue I've had with it: on the second drive after I installed it, the screen stopped working so I can't see any settings at all. I cant see what volume I'm at. I cant see what input I'm on. Nothing. For most, I'm sure that would be cause to return it. But for me, I basically only wanted bluetooth and a volume knob, so it doesn't really bug me. It's not like it was a good display anyways - it didnt say track/artist names or anything like that, at least not from what I remember. I got to use it with the screen working for all of ten minutes. That said, otherwise it works great. It connects to my phone via bluetooth quickly. The range on the bluetooth isn't great, but no issues with that while inside the car. Overall, I give it 3 stars just based purely on the price and that it meets my needs just fine. But just know it's not a quality unit. If you're like me and all you want is a cheap unit with bluetooth and a volume knob and don't care about anything else then this might work for you.

Great for the money
I recently had the head unit in my car die, and it's going to be a few weeks until I can replace it. In the meantime, I purchased this one so I can at least have some music until the replacement arrives. At the time of this writing, the price is $20 on Amazon, apparently it's been lower in the past, and it's about $13 at Walmart. For $20, this head unit is an absolute bargain. I'm shocked that for this price, we get bluetooth, micro sd, and USB.. even a remote control! In my setup, i run the front speakers from the deck, the rears and a subwoofer through external amps. I'm not an audiophile, but everything sounds clear and distortion free. I'm sure that 90%+ of people would be perfectly happy with the sound quality. Good: Good sound quality, good value. Unlike other Blaupunkt stereos I've had, it doesn't require a US to European antenna adapter. Easy to connect to bluetooth. Bad: Radio presets are only on the remote EQ can only be adjusted in the app except for a few presets you can cycle through with the remote. Indifferent but worth noting: No illumination input, so it won't dim when you turn the headlights on(display isn't super bright though, and not every car supports this anyway) The second preamp output is a 3.5 mm jack , so you'll need an RCA to 3.5mm adapter if you have a sub amp(only a few dollars but you probably won't be able to buy one locally these days). The first unit I received had a dead display, and most of the negative reviews seem to have the same issue. Of course Amazon replaced it no problem.. not sure if this bodes poorly for the future.. I'll update if the display on the new unit goes out. I could see this being a much bigger hassle for those who don't know how to install a car stereo on their own and have to pay a shop to put it in, take it out, put in a replacement. Just something to keep in mind The entire unit is only about 2" deep, so it's easier than ever to tuck in the wiring during installation and maybe even possible to fit this in some interesting locations if you don't want it in the default radio cavity for some reason.

Best cheapest radio available
I bought this radio 3 years ago. At the time it was $9.99. I didnt expect much from it but needed a cheap radio for a bass truck i was building. After i installed it about a month after i bought it the screen burnt out. But radio still worked as i knew how many clicks to get to bt. I flipped the truck with the radio in it a few weeks later. Ripped the radio out, tossed it in a box for a month. Then in stalled it in a different vehicle, still worked like a champ. Then took it out as i got rid of said vehicle. Let it sit for 2 years after that collecting dust. Got curious as to know if it still worked. And it did. This silly radio has taken more abuse then ay other radio ive ever seen. Sound wuality is good but can be a little quite, nothing a inline to rca connector and a low power high oass amp cant fix. But still a great little radio. 10/10 am gonna keep it around for another few years of abuse to see if it still works.

Beware
Was a great deal while it worked. Lost display after a month. Unit would also randomly freeze up. Had to pay to ship back to service company (ematic) and have been waiting over a month for replacement. Not getting my hopes up that new unit will be much better. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and look elsewhere. Used to be a good brand that has gone belly up.

Solid head unit, especially for the price.
I installed this with an adapter into a 2000 GMC Safari. What I wanted more than anything was a way to connect my phone via Bluetooth to my older van. This head unit delivered in spades. The install was incredibly simple, and it only required an adapter harness and a bracket to fit my vehicle (90's GM had this weird din-and-a-half thing going on that makes it a little awkward without an adapter bracket). Including the bracket install and wiring up the GM harness to the head unit, it took less than an hour start to finish. Did it in my driveway. The Bluetooth connectivity is stellar. Pairing takes seconds, and once you're paired it automatically connects almost immediately after starting the vehicle. I have yet to see how it handles multiple devices as I'm the only one who regularly uses my van. The microphone leaves a lot to be desired, but I expected that from a sub-$20 head unit without a remote mic. Call quality over HD voice on a cellphone call is still readable but not great. Call quality over VoIP apps is borderline unreadable. I wish it would display the time while in bluetooth mode, but that's a minor issue. I have a watch, and my phone that sits on a dash mount has the time on it. I also wish the LED's weren't bright blue, a dimmer warmer color like amber or red would be much nicer for nighttime driving. Overall, would recommend. Great head unit for under $20.

best stereo I've ever bought
This little stereo punches way above it's weight - sound is crystal clear, loud, has all the usual blaupunkt features, easy to use... Bluetooth connects very quickly, the microphone works fine for hands-free calls, reading the sd card or usb drive without any problems - I'm a happy customer anyway, the pricetag is ridiculous for what it does.

Bastante satisfecho a decir verdad.
