Crop-A-Dile II Big Bite Punch

I now can set grommets easily & consistently with this device.

I have been looking at these for a while and debating on whether or not it was worth it. Don't pause. Just get it. It's worth every dime. So if you need to know why, just have 4 different tools to punch and set grommets and try to keep up with all the parts (me). I now can punch the holes and set the grommets with one tool, just by rotating the little head around. SUPER simple. Very easy to press down, requires very little hand strength, and I feel certain this thing could possibly punch through a meteorite. I won't try that, void the warranty and all, but it's divine. Everything you think this thing will do, it'll probably do better than your current tool, plus you can set a hole in the middle of a 12x12 page with ease. I don't know many people who need that particular function, but the size is a whole bonus thing for a junk journaler (also me). It takes up about as much room as an office stapler (from the 70s) and it weighs about as much as it looks like it does so it's not going to just tip over. It's bottom-heavy, too, so once you sit it there, just leave it there. I wouldn't try to put it in my purse and take it on a plane though, that'd just be silly (in other words there's a portability issue). I will totally be keeping this handy-dandy gadget. The video is the device, but I was actually talking about something else.

I ordered the Crop A Dile 2 Big Bite because it was highly recommended by bookbinders and journal makers. With this tool you can punch 1/8" and 3/8" holes, set eyelets and other decorative hardware. The instructions for the combinations on the tool are included for the different sizes and embellishments. It is very easy to adjust. This hole punch is unique because it has a long reach which is great for bookbinding. The handle is ergonomic and easy to bring down to set eyelets or punch holes. On a flat surface, it is very steady because of the two non skid feet. I have just started to use this and have been very satisfied. This tool can also punch thicker materials so it is very versatile. I highly recommend this tool.

I love this gadget, it's going to make binding a lot easier. And it's the lowest price that I have seen in the past.

I just could not believe how nearly impossible it was to find something like this item. I am a teacher and in my classes we have a lot of projects that we do with LED lights and things like that and a hole punch is perfect for popping out holes for use with lights. Our handheld punches did not go far enough into the card stock or paper and the same was true for the larger desk models we have. So I came here to search... A simple hole puncher should be so easy to find but most of the handheld ones I saw were limited to a 2 inch reach and punched shapes that were not circular. Come on companies: look at your competitors' products, create something better and hit a market that's not reached here. There are a half a dozen brands of the same looking puncher that's 2 inches, for goodness sakes, make a 4 inch reach with a 1/4 circular hole and you have the buyers all to yourself. This was the closest thing I could find to what I needed. It's unfortunate that the designers of this product didn't include a 3rd size which is the typical 1/4" that's included on hand punchers. Luckily, the 3/16" hole that this creates fits my LEDs but if you're gonna go all out and make such a nice product, at least include the standard size hole option. I took off one star for the lack of a 1/4" option and because the area on the bottom of the punch where the pieces of paper that are cut should be stored is wide open so they fall out all over the desk.

This works great but is hard to find the right eyelets. It does not indicate which eyelets to buy. You need the ones that are split ! There are not many choses of these eyelets and when yhuo find them they are very expensive.

Had a standard Crop-a-Dile. It was good but the WR CADII Big Bite Blue is so much better. First it stands on its own, so you don’t have to struggle with holding/balancing it. Second, after you have made the hole, using the correct hole 🕳puncher (there are 2 choices based on the size of the grommets): • make sure you have the grommet block turned in the proper position according to the instructions (they are clear, just take a moment to read/understand them) • move the bottom SLIDER on the RULER on the bottom part of the WR CADII Big Bite Blue so that the edge of the fabric/leather/or whatever material you are using LINE UP exactly with the GROMMET block center • when your measure is right, push your GROMMET through your material according to instructions and lay it down on TOP of the GROMMET BASE on the WR CADII Big Bite Blue • check that everything is properly aligned sbd give it a solid squeeze. • you are done Though my first Crop-a-dile did the job before I got the WR CADII Big Bite Blue, it is a LOT EASIER, and NEATER with the WR CADII Big Bite Blue. I don’t think I will use tho other one again. I strongly recommend the WR CADII Big Bite Blue!!

I had the old one and for some reason it never worked right, this one is great. It's a powerful punch and it sets brads and eyelets perfectly (follow the instructions though). What I like best about it, is the long reach. All in all it's great, but it is a little pricey.
